38 is old in boxing terms. Particularly when you have fought as a pro for about 22 years.
Pac has still looked pretty sharp in his last few outings though. The Pac I saw last time out against Jessie Vargas would have an easy night against Horn. He'd have to have slipped a whole lot since last November. I don't think that's very likely.
I agree with you. But I have seen many elite sportsman fall off very quickly when their time comes.

This fight will open doors for Horn win, lose or draw. Everybody in the boxing world now knows who Jeff Horn is.

If Horn losses he is not an elite fighter and never will be.

I said this fight will open doors for Horn win, lose or draw and everybody in the boxing world now knows who Jeff Horn is. Point me at the part where I said he was an elite fighter

I have too, but still it'd have to be a MASSIVE fall for him to lose this one. Jessie Vargas was significantly better than Jeff Horn is and he beat Vargas with ease.

Due to ticket demand, Suncorp Stadium has secured an exemption to increase the seating to 60,000 for Horn-Pacquiao.

Thousands of extra tickets go on sale this morning.

Guys is this card starting at Breakfast time in Brisbane, noticed Suncorp have it as an 0830 type start and Manny in the ring around 1330 local time, is that right or have they got the times mixed up, hoping to get to watch it over in England but time seems strange.

According to Main Event 11am Oz east standard time (2am UK). According to ESPN telecast starts at 10pm Sat July 1(UK) Suncorp says 1st fight is at 9am Oz time which sounds about right. I guess Main Event ain't showing the full card.

Well done Jeff Horn, I only got to see the highlights but looked like a great fight and the 9th round Horn was almost out.

116-112 Manny Pacquiao

Jeff Horn fought his ass off and earned a lot of respect, but he didn't win that fight.

Fantastic fight. Had everything. Could have scored it lots of different ways. 3 non-Australian judges had it for Horn. That is good enough for me.

Has there been a more successful night for Aussie boxing? Horn wins a title against Pac, Hooper upsets a 19-0 prospect in Salamov, and Touissant outpoints the 10-1 son of an all-time great.

Oh, and Pac-Horn was a great fight...you could see straight away that Horn wanted it badly.

Ya, he got battered in the 9th and I scored it 10-8 even without a knockdown. He looked close to done..

Vintage. Great day for Aussie boxing.

Thought Jeff performed far beyond expectations and certainly did himself proud :TU:

Ive already stated i think it was a close contest... early on i thought Pac attempted to let Horn punch himself out, which didnt exactly go to plan, though when the opportunity did present itself after the 9th, Pac well and truly let Horn back into the fight.

Got huge respect for Gil and its rarely ive disagreed with him, but i didnt see any robbery tonight...

Well done Horny!...

By the way am I the only one that noticed the timekeeper rang the bell early 3 times tonight?

The last round of the Mosley Jr. vs Touissant fight ended with 12 seconds still left to go.

The 3rd round of the Jerwin Ancajas vs Teiru Kinoshita fight ended with 17 seconds still left to go

The final round of Horn vs Pac ended with about 8 seconds still left

It was a consistent problem throughout the card.

Agree great fight close decision. The tenth could have been a 10 8 but that round took a lot out of Manny

In 2 of these occasions of the bell ringing early the visiting fighter needed a KO to beat the Australian. Just sayin'

I know nobody cares, but rules exist for a reason.

To steal a line from Red Forman (fictional character) without them we might as well all be up in trees flinging our sh*t at each other.

I know what you said. I was watching the timer closely after the first time it happened. It ticked down second by second like it was supposed to. I'm not buying what you're selling. I've watched boxing for decades, and this is not a common problem in Boxing (on screen or not). It was just conveniently a problem in favor of Australian fighters in Australia.
