Exactly, and this is the problem. Any Tom,Dick or Harry can pick up a microphone, get a camera and become a broadcaster on Youtube. These are not trained journalists which is why they have no idea how to ask the right questions and led into the money question. A good interviewer will get the best out of the interviewee and remain totally impartial. He should never have released that statement it did him no favours at all.

I agree with the flaws in his style but the other thing is that if he asks the right questions, he would not have the access he does. Ask a few uncomfortable questions and boxers are not going to invite you into the dressing rooms or the camps. His style and personality and that he does fluff pieces is what gives those long Q&A's with Hearn and Warren.

We cannot have it both ways. anyone who likes all the banter and backstage access will have to tolerate it. If you want more serious questioning you will need to search out other video channels but the reality is, other youtubers may not suck the interviewees off so deeply but none of them ask the questions that go begging.

Kugan is an utter wank. I rememeber when Sklar was touting him as a hard man, was cringeworthy. Just like his winge. The fact he actually could get to see the fight renders him even more a little piss stain than usual. I'd love to see someone snack him one but his questions are so soft it's not going to happen.

I like Kugan, he is doing what I done 30 years ago, he gets great interviews along with james Helder, I think they do a great job, I have started to get back into doing interviews now, and I will ask whatever I feel like asking that is relevant,

I have to say that I hugely missed IFL being at the fight. I love all the little interviews and snippets around the backstage and in the dressing rooms, which is stuff we have never had access to before. The aftermath of this mega event was like the old days - watch the fight, listen to the Sky pundits, the fighters interviews in the ring, more punditry then the end and no more til we got Boxing News a few days later or found a report online / read the forums.

i missed it all too, would have been good to get some behind the scenes chats with people on the night. IFLs interviews really bring the whole thing to life. Boxing News was poor this week - it was just a big chunky blow by blow fight report of a fight everyone had already seen, nothing really about what was going on in the sidelines, or even notes from ringside. no mention of schwarzenegger being there, merchandise, changing rooms etc, not a single little snippet of anything that only someone who was there would be able to see. that's why IFL are so good and that's why print is dying a death.
with 90,000 there you would have thought they would have had a fans double spread of people in the crowd giving their opinions or something.
