You don't have to vote. ;-)

I like wesshaws polls, I find it interesting what other people think about potential match-ups
I find it interesting that right now it is 17 votes to 1 in Linares favour, an almost dead cert, and you can get 2/5 betting on the fight.
A license to print money if you ask me...
Time can make a difference. First offers are 1/4 now!!

I favour Linares but he is nowhere near as good as some are making out here.

Whiskers are too delicate for me to be ploughing into this.

I love Linares his skills and ability are always a pleasure to watch but it's easy to forget he is vulnerable, couple of early stoppage losses and his last six fights have been Crolla x 2, Mitchell, Cano, Prieto and Terry now depending on how highly you rate certain people there is nobody there that he should not have beat and in the fashion he did it. Campbell does have skills but also has a fragility about him at times, however despite him not being a power puncher he hits crisply and often his reach lets him land shots that many don't expect are coming.

Linares should win I don't dispute that but if Campbell can be sharp early on I would be far from ruling out a "shock outcome" here.

IMO Campbell's chin a lot more delicate than Linares. Also Linares is the bigger puncher of the two.
I will be putting a fair bit of money down on Linares KO/Stoppage.

Whatever Linares's weaknesses, I don't think Campbell is his kryptonite. Linares has had more problems with physical guys who really take it to him IIRC

I think Campbell can win. I would have had it a 50/50 fight in the UK but I still give him a 40% chance in LA.

Linares is good but he's been stopped 3 times (I was there for one of them). He was struggling against Mitchell (who got stopped fairly easily against Katsidis & Burns) before winning on an eye injury.

He outboxed Crolla who had lost 4 times previously.

I'm not saying Campbell will definitely win. Just that I think A - people are over estimating Linares based on his recent UK performances and B - underestimating Campbell because of his loss to Mendy.

I see this as a close fight with Jorge slight favourite.

Im giving the edge to Linares and I'm tipping him to win but I'm not writing Campbell off totally, Linares has looked class in his last 2 fights against Crolla but Campbell is a very different style from Anthony, southpaw, a lot taller, quicker, more skilled and i'd say he hits harder than Crolla too, he might not have Crolla's will and staying power down the stretch but I can defo see Campbell giving Linares trouble with his speed and sharpness

The thing with Campbell is he blows hot and cold, he started off poor against Perez in his last fight, he did eventually grow into the fight before Perez quit injured, he's had a few mediocre performances, he'll be up for this and as long as fighting for a title away from home doesn't faze him I can see this going to the wire, Campbell isn't a massive puncher but he can hurt opponents and Linares has been KO'd a few times as well as knocked down so although he's in form he's not invincible

Linares being the champion and at "home" i'll give him the edge, close fight though IMO

I just don't see Campbells chin holding up. I think he'll end up getting stopped between 7 and 10.

I think Campbell can win this if he can get through the 1st 4 rounds.

If he can land them.
But I'm pretty sure Linares is not going to stand still for him and not counter either.

I don't think Campbell will target the body, Linares is susceptible to head shots. I think Campbell will try to brawl him and will be successful in stopping him

Campbell has been dropped by Mendy and Mendez. His chin is hardly rock solid either. I don't think that would be a smart strategy.

Linares is rightfully the favourite, but I think Campbell is a live dog. What he has on his side that the other brits Linares has conquered did not have is youth. Both Crolla and Mitchell have had some wars.

Campbell has the talent and Linares is at an age where the miles on the clock will start to show. I do think Linares by late stoppage or points - but I won't be surprised if Campbell pulled it off.

Campbell is 29 though. He's 3 years younger than Linares. He's not a spring chicken (in an athletic sense) himself.
