To be fair it absolutely pisses all over Cleverly vs Bomber 2 as a card.

Is Eddie Hearn involved in any capacity, seems like a lot of his fighters are on the bill.

Maybe that's why it's £16

Eubank Snr ducked the best fighters via the WBO route.

2017 and Eubank Jnr looks set to do the same via the new IBO route.

Fighters, sanctioning body and channel colluding to exploit the fact the public don't understand boxing anymore.

You can bet that Eubank Jnr never fights GGG.

Second fight at 168, I think that ship sailed ages ago.

Eubank went the WBO route because that was the title Nigel Benn happened to have. Manny Steward then arranged for Thomas Hearns to vacate the WBO 168 for Eubank and Watson to fight for leaving the 160 free for G.McClennan.

With Jnr and the IBO that is just a temporary thing to add a bit of prestige till he gets a real belt. Fights like Pacquiao vs Hatton were advertised as being for the "IBO light-welterweight world title" too remember. He'll unify in the next 1-2 fights after this.

16.95 and we don't even get Galahad vs Ceylan, they can fuk orf....

I was warming to it thinking it's a class a card in comparison with others but, I can't help feel Eubank & Eubank are just conmen.

If he had the balls he talks so much about he'd have told Abraham to do one and entered this WBSS tournament, there he'd be guaranteed millions cos no doubt he'd win (in his own mind)....he could have a few belts as well!

Bottled GGG. Simples.

That sucks!
No way is Eubank Jr a PPV 'talent' and neither is an aged Abraham, nor a young Abraham.
Chris might be PPV if he unifys or something.
Joshua Wlad
GGG Canelo
They are PPV.
This isn't.
He needs to build a fan base before he can charge people to watch him fight at the B+ level.
And the best way to build a fan bace for him is let people see him fight, because as sure as sh*t, it isn't going to be his personality that wins fans

Right. That's why he spent years and 20 defences avoiding the best. Because of Nigel Benn.

You're very naive.

Jr. has said he has no issue making 160 pounds. But there is DeGale and Groves at 168 pounds, which sounds appealing to the UK fans. I believe he will look for unification too in the next 1 or 2 fights.

He has called them out, but it's just about actually fighting them. I don't think he'll try and avoid as long as he gets a good deal.

And the better boxers he fights, he is going to stay with the ITV PPV platform, and eventually.. he'll get more buys.

cmon boys whats with the unification talk ? Eubank doesn't hold a world title yet so how can he unify ? Someone new to the sport could stumble on here and notice the "boxing fans" talking about unifications and IBO "world titles" and will take that info to the bank, we might have to put up with a lot of shit in this sport but lets not start spreading it about

It was frustrating at the time. Snr was fighting the best of the UK and sub-par international fighters. And even then he was on the right end of quite a few decisions.
Jones was the same in The States and he even claimed to be p4p #1...

Jnr will replicate the model. Already gone wrong once with Saunders. No more risks here on in. Certainly no Ggg, just as Jones, Toney, everybody, is absent from Sr's record.

Ive said this previously when Jr decided to take on the IBO. Jr is doing exactly what his dad has done with the WBO and I see this carry on for a long time until the fodder has run out. Jr is not going to fight anyone who has a decent chance of beating him so this route to money is the best option for him.

Also £16 for this fight is bloody daft and again ill join in with many others and watch it for nowt. (If I watch it)

I fee the same.

If this fight was on ITV 1 10 pm start time with undercard on ITV 4 I think the feedback would be very positive on the forum.

Spot on :TU: , I think his management are deluded thinking he is some big fish in SMW division at this stage in his career .

And they wonder why so much streaming is going on .

What are you talking about? They've been trying to set up a De Gale fight for months. GGG was about to happen until Eddie hurled poor Kell Brook into that particular dragon pit.

Here I'll be buying the ppv but it probably won't do too well again. The main problem with sales is that despite being on the ITV brand it's inaccesible on freeview. They need a pay by red button type thing.

£16.95 to watch an under-card fight, to a PPV fight.

For PPV, this fight would be in the last spot or second to last spot, before a big fight.

Daylight robbery.

The great power duo that are Eddie Hearn & Barney Francis can offer you value over smaller outfits in the same way Amazon will over a smaller business. But as with that I know where I'd prefer my money to go.

There is a potential fly in their ointment... Sr was on a long and lucrative contract as I recall. Only Joshua could nail that kind of deal now. My guess is that without that contract Sr would have gone swimming in deeper waters. Jr may have no choice.
