I have no idea what a pageboy cut is but Povetkin's hair in that picture looks exactly how you described, someone has put a bowl over his head and cut the sides. This guy does make a point. Bob Arum was promoting Tye Fields as a "great white hope" for a few years & he stated it several times in post fight interviews on tv. He's big, he's WHITE were his 2 favourite lines describing Fields. Of course he dumped him as soon as Barrett splattered him on the canvas...

Very TRUE... Both Emmanuel Steward and Bob Arum thought they'd make millions with Tye Fields...when it was already obvious he had Primo Carnera's chin.

Steward did some work with him but it ended quickly as he knew Fields would get exposed. He said multiple times he was not coordinated enough to box. Arum was trying to get him a big fight & it finally came against Barrett.

Steward did not say Fields wasn't coordinated enough to box... He wouldn't have wanted to handle and develop him if he thought that were the case... However it was soon evident he overestimated Tye's fistic talent and he abandoned him. Like he did many others when they failed to show world class potential.

I think it's just a very small (though active) group of 'puffers', and I get the sense that much of it starts with a dislike of Wilder rather than a liking of Povetkin. Povetkin got widely shitt on for a long time, and didn't really become a major forum presence until the Wilder fight popped up.

For several years now he's tended to give explosive performances, and he's fought better opposition than all active non-Wlad heavyweights, so there's good reason to like him.

The innuendo they put out for months about the Wilder fight proves their motives were to destroy Povetkin, Ryabinski, and Russia as a viable venue for Heavyweight Championship Fights so their promoter friends wouldn't be continuously outbid for those fights.

Buddy, if your Povetkin story had half as much legs as you thought it did, Povetkin wouldn't ever have to fight again because he'd make way more money in lawsuits for this huge injustice. What's happened? The opposite. A jury took like 30 minutes to figure out Povetkin was guilty and had to pay Wilder for being a druggy. What happened to the defamation case Povetkin had?
