FTR Del Boy is a definite underdog, but vs wilder it's not like vs Joshua where he has only 1% chance

Yeah I get where you're coming from but he's had close/disputed losses to Whyte and Helenius and lost to top guys Tyson Fury x 2, Vitali, Haye and Pulev. No disgrace there but his best win is arguably Malik Scott who is skillful but doesn't seem to care much for 'trench-warfare'. Other than that you have Williams, Sexton, Gerber and King Pin.

None of these guys are remotely in Wilder's league, I'd say. He'd make sure Deontay knew he'd been in a fight but I can't see him winning. Oddly enough though I could see Whyte beating Wilder (not saying he would, mind) even though Whyte only squeezed past Chisora.

Is wilder better than the guys that have beaten Del Boy? Again he's an enigma, it's not furys fault, but Del Boy was half the fighter vs him, fat and unfit with no ambition. Vs Vitali yes he lost a big decision, but he was game, so it's not easy judging what he's capable of.

What gives whyte a better shot? That he's a bit fresher? There's no real difference in their level imo, Del Boy but stronger, whyte slightly more skilled, both take tremendous beatings before they are beat...

I'll say again, I'm not saying Chisora beats wilder, I'm saying I can see that he could beat him. I can't make any case of how he beats Joshua

I'm not saying Wilder is necessarily better than those who conclusively beat him, but he is way better than anyone beaten by him. That's why I used the word 'oddly' because on the face of it Whyte and Chisora's chances ought to be about the same. I rate Wilder the hardest single shot hitter in the division but I don't think he knocks out Whyte (nor probably Chisora) like Joshua did because he doesn't throw combos like AJ and it's the cumulative barrage that did for Whyte and Breazeale whereas a harder single punch probably wouldn't in my opinion.

So they would both take it to Wilder and pressure him banging that lean torso with body shots but I think what gives Whyte a better chance is that I believe he edges Del in technique, especially correct punching, discipline and punching power. Just my thoughts and unlike Martin I'm no God

Here's another one even far less risky than fighting a bum! I could see this : Wilder sufferd a severe injury on his whatever?! He's gonna be off for six months!

They've both proven vulnerable, wilder has poor technique but he's not going to get outboxed by delboy.

In a way you could say Charlie Zelenoff did win: Deontay came out of the whole unedifying spectacle looking like a massive bully beating on some big-mouthed midget nobody, and Zelenoff ... well we know who he is now don't we?

I thought wilder came out looking well. Charlie deserved much worse.

He did (deserve worse) I can't argue with that, but descending to that little twerp's level is not a good look. The WBC Champ should be above scrambling about on the deck with a seven stone weakling who has a big mouth and a small brain.

It looks like this thread is almost redundant. Wilder Ortiz is almost signed up. Amazing stuff!
