Whyte vs Parker is the fight . Whyte won't run .

Poveitkin is cheat so I think he is banned ? I would boycott watching him and watch free later on :)

I know Parker was using Hayes gym, so perhaps Parker fights someone in the UK (Whyte,Price, Chisora) he has a voluntary now that he's done a mandatory, then sets up a fight with the winner of Haye / Bellew.

As long as the WBO is ok with it Parker should use that voluntary defense to fight Browne.
Parker wouldn't need to travel for that fight, it should do well domestically, Browne is undefeated and shows up to fight not run.................which would make Parker look very good. Parker would just destroy Browne.

Yeah but no one really knows who Browne is . I think Parker needs to fight someone very popular in Britian to ensure when he fights AJ they extract maximum value . And after Parker knocks out AJ he can then fight Wilder who is the best heavyweight in the world at the moment.

Whyte isn't the fight for anyone. He's an overhyped clubfighter who you would also have to boycott if you're against watching a "cheat".

Didnt he just outbox the best boxer in britian ( Huggie Fury ) ? 110-118 on 2 judges score cards!

I think you underate Parker too much and it will just make me richer when I win bet.

Keep underating him please , makes the odds better for me.

I did score the fight.

Only bad card was the one that was a draw.

You don't win rounds if you refuse to throw any punches. Fury threw something like 4 right hands per round and was not able to even land that many jabs.

You don't win by missing wildly either Parker was made to look like a plodder , I had Parker just winning pulling it out in the last couple of RDS

The only reason anyone has ever heard of Hughie is Tyson. He's been shite in every fight I've seen him in. Hyped to fornicate by the English on the forum as prospect/future world champion. Very undeserving title challenger.

That there was ever any doubt boggles the mind. Has Fury ever looked anything but ordinary?

..not to my knowledge but going thru the British forum the hopes seemed to be pretty high..

Can I just remind people that boxing is known as "The noble art" and is intended to be a method whereby a bigger, stronger, more powerful opponent can be overcome by the application of skill and technique. So I often feel guilty I suppose you'd call it, when I go against these principles and score for the guy who's making the fight.

I think the right man won and although I found the fight difficult to score (and not all that easy to watch) I did think the scores 118 - 110 were way too wide, it was much closer than that. You could easily make a case for Hughie having won but I'm glad Parker retained his title. He will entertain us in future fights way more than Fury would. So much for Parker not getting treated fairly by judges in the UK.

What's all this bollocks about Hughie being the best heavy in the UK? Who ever said he was? He'd done nothing to qualify him as a world title challenger but now if I saw his name in someone's top 10 or 15, I won't be scornful like I would have been before today. He isn't exciting but he's capable of beating a lot of good heavyweights.

I know what you mean, but the operative words here are ‘skill’ and ‘technique’. Neither Hughie nor Tyson actually show very much of either - they use their height and reach advantages to keep their opponents at bay, and both spent 99% if their last fights simply running around the ring. It can be great to watch a boxer utilising supreme skill and technique to overcome brute force (Mayweather, Whittaker, Ali etc), but that isn’t what Hughie did.

Not a bad shout. Browne (Battle of Oceania) then a domestic UK dust up (Chisora or Whyte) then AJ. I think Parker beats all barring AJ.

The English tend to regard countries like New Zealand as still colonies. Parker had over 60 amateur fights and was unbeaten in 23 professional fights. The English just thought that as Hughie's brother was a World Champion Hughie must be very good. He just was not good enough.

Parker beat him in his own back yard with an English judge and two neutral judges.
