He never wanted the fight.
German based fighters never want to come over here. Going back to Denis Lebedev pulling out of a vacant title fight with Carl Froch in Nottingham. Did anyone think Pulev would go through with it?
Denis Inkin!
Prime Lebedev against Prime Froch at a catchweight would of been a war.
Lebedev probably just too big for the Cobra.

Takam is not a pushover and is likely the 2nd or 3rd best opponent Johsua has faced, or better than anyone Wilder has faced. He is a solid replacement, but not likely to add much to Joshua's resume.
The trouble for Takam is he's 36. He's not the same guy who meet Povetkin. He's also short and older, and when you are fighting a much younger powerful giant with skills being much older and shorter is not the right mix to produce an upset.
Takam is going to limit engagements, and take it to the later rounds before risking much. If he can counter, he'll have a chance.
This fight will tell us more about Joshua, especially if it goes to the later rounds as his ability to take a punch is average, and took too many rounds to catch his second win vs an old Wladimir Klitschko.

Fvxk me Wes, you missed a trick there.
Could you not just have bumped the Pulev thread and changed the title

The issue people seem to constantly miss about PPV is that sticking it on standard Sky cuts out millions of people who would pay £20 for the fight between them and their mates but wouldn't shell out for standard Sky. I genuinely don't understand how people seem to miss this plainly obvious fact.
Forks out on a massive TV for him and his mates to watch EastEnders as he cant afford sky

Tread very carefully, lads, this guy stalks me for disagreeing with him.
Oh dear. I suggested you sounded like you were drunk. Subsequently you've apparently revealed yourself to be sad old alcoholic. Looks like I was correct.

The fights that matter for Joshua are...
Wilder
Povetkin
Ortiz
These interest me the others not really...
Fury and Haye are finished at the top level.
Fury/Wilder/Parker/Povetkin/Ortiz/Pulev/Haye - those are the guys I would pay to see fight AJ, pretty much in that order favorite 1st...

Watching a big fight on a laptop sucks.

Joke fight, I had to google this Takam to find out who the hell he is, and when I saw his record I realised why...he’s done f**k all. Watched a bit on you tube and he’s a busy, small journeyman who’s getting on years, and significanty, looks an arm puncher too, so absolutely no threat at all ( well done Eddie ).
Odds for Pulev were 33-1, for Takam it’s probably 50-1. At least Pulev could hit, he hurt Wlad before getting stopped, this guy is getting driven through the canvas in short order.

Pulev was 33/1!? Seriously! I would back Pulev at 5/1.
Wouldn't back Takam at 500/1 though.

At least one can sober up and dry out.
Being a pudendum, on the other hand, is more of a life long affliction.

I put £5 down on Pulev on Paddy Power and he was 10/1

10's is more in line, 33 is way too long.

You've never heard of Takam? Really? I find that fairly hard to believe.
Pulev wasn't 33/1 - you're getting confused with the fact that Joshua was 1/33.

Not old or sad. Or drunk. "Apparently revealed" myself? Yes, about 8 years ago, well spotted.

Yes meant Josh was 33/1 and now 50/1, suppose vaugely heard of him but had no real idea who he was.

if someone doesnt know who takam is they obviously dont follow the division
fought plenty of notable names.of those only meldonium povetkin clearly beat him and they were officially even after 8.imo clearly deserved win vs perez and had a draw vs parker. nearly shutout thompson.was an olympian.
if he was the a side hed prob have wins vs parker, perez, and thompson. never been outclassed despite fighting good opposition.

This card is awful IMO. Outside of Buglioni v Johnson.
Look at odds for home fighters outside of that fight.
Yafai 1/16
Taylor 1/33
Whyte 1/6
Joshua 1/50

Been told Callum Johnson has pulled out now.
Honestly couldn't care about this card now. Unless Burton steps in for the rematch.
