Okay, so what is Chambers? Is he Caribbean of origin, whereas we know AJ is African. If thats the case I genuinely think he means the superior of the 2 'black races'. The common perception was that the 'best', i.e., strongest, fittest, African black people were taken over the water to work as slaves. I am sure I read there were African blacks complicit in this human trade hence the bitterness between the Africans and the Caribbean's. They believe they were 'sold' by their own race.
Got to be honest though the Carribean's have excelled as an athletic race in most sports, so maybe the 'selection process' did actually 'work'.
Let me flip this over. Who are the superior of the 'white' races? Does not sound 'so' bad if this is the context. If anything. AJ has just killed his Caribbean heritage following.

I'm curious how Wilder would be treated if he made the same comments.
I mean he is far less popular in the media already

Agreed.
We've seen time and time again vracism from black boxers get swept under the carpet. Hopkins "never lose to a white boy", Mayweathers racism towards Pacquiao etc.
Marvin Hagler once said to Kevin Finnegan after refusing to shake his hand "I don't touch white flesh"
Strange then that he had a white trainer and manager his entire career
I thought that myself, Tyson used to be the same even though the best trainer he ever had was a white man.

What the hell are you talking about that's never happened in England where Joshua is from .
Are you blind? Do you know your history of what WHITES done to blacks? Watch 12 years a slave, have a look at whats going on in america this poo still exists(not slavery but racism). Doesnt matter whether it happened were joahua is from because he gets told stories about what happened in the past plus he sees whats going on around him as he has grown up. Racism exists in britain and if you dont think it does then you are an ostrich
Watch 12 years a slave .....is that your base of your views ...I don't even know where to start here ....

Whites think they are the superior race and have done since the beginnings of time so whats wrong with AJ saying it? People just want him to slip up all the time, like waiting for an alcoholic to fall off the wagon, its sad that people cant stand to see other people do well and be a nice person, fasteddie is an absolute wanker and i hate the way people show other ppls txts to others when a txt is like a private conversation between the sender and the receiver,so so sad

it never gets that bad as long as its a minority colour saying it. probably get just as many ppl defending it because of 'colonial histories' and 'enduring institutional power imbalances' and such. probably also see alot of 'the ppl who have problems with it are showing their the true racists'.

So I'm just finished watching 12 years a slave but i can't say I'm much the wiser as to why AJ's comment wasn't racist.

The subject of slavery is a touchy one obviously, but it never ceases to amaze me as to how so many people see slavery as a purely white/black, European/African thing that started a few hundred years ago and ended when Hollywood tells us it did.
Slavery is as old as mankind and there’s more slaves on the planet today than there has ever been at any other point in history! I believe it’s also cheaper to buy a slave today than at any point in history.
It’s a rich/poor thing. Don’t ever confuse it as anything else. I’m from a long, long line of poor Scottish and even poorer Italian fvckers, so I’m fvcked if I’ll ever understand “white” guilt, no matter how hard some ultra liberal posh pudendum tells me I should!

He hardly made a comment as is being suggested, but a private message to another boxer. He probably is a bit of a dick, arrogant and not at all like his persona which is projected by the PR team but as he said himself once, who cares? What is bad about a guy deciding to set a positive example in public? Is it a bad thing that he is trying to show a positive and humble attitude? Does it matter what he is like in real life and in private? Let the kids see this public image which is role model stuff.
You look close enough in history and I am sure all our great heroes said some shite in private which would not sit in line with the public image. I bet even Jesus called Mary a lazy cnt when she did not do the dishes and when none of the disciples where in the room

I prefer straight up people
What you see is what you get types
People coming up with all sorts of sh*t but still doesn't change the fact that if another fighter said it there'd be uproar
Personally I don't give a f*ck what he says cos I'm not a minge
Just funny how Tyson & billyjoe make a few comments about women in the kitchen & gays and people seem so shocked & offended

It's like all the people who got up in arms over Ricky Hattons lad next door persona, they'd have preferred a dullard like Junior Witter who nobody outside of avid boxing viewers gave a shite about.

My problem is the blatant double standards.
If Fury said it, his career would be over. Joshua said it, it gets a pass.
Plus the general public have a right to know if the guy they're paying money to see is a nasty, racist bigot or not and then make a decision on whether to continue paying to see him.

If Joshua said those same things about women and gays he would get as much shit over it, it's a big no no in todays society, only difference is AJ would issue a "heartfelt apology" or something like that via Matchroom.

Fury had ended his own career by being a fat coke head who might also be on PEDs, his views on society are nothing to with it.

Who cares if fury took Coke ? People go on like they are his wife when they chime on about Coke use. What's it got to do with anyone what someone takes , mike Tyson sniffed & smoked who gives a f*ck
The whole fury UKAD thing is a farce UKAD are backward , and when you talk PEDs you are naive if you think Joshua ain't juicing
Tyson ain't ended nothing, it's a case of if he really wants to, and if he does, he would beat Anthony Joshua
But back on topic, double standards is right , if that was anyone but AJ , all the minges would be out in force
"Fury ended his own career" (in your opinion)
Let's say he hadn't , if he said that and he was still active then people would be carrying on like a scorned woman over it
That's still mincing around the truth that if Tyson said it it would be a different matter to say that

One is a private message the other is a guy making public statements.
One is a guy saying things in a context we are not actually totally sure about. The other is a guy making it clear of his thought process and beliefs and then reiterating it, expanding on it, adding to it and making damn sure we know he thinks it is how he wishes the world was and thinks others should follow his example.
AJ spieling some shite in a one liner to another black guy, in private, is not the same thing at all, oh and it is not HIS fault how others judge and take the words and what they do with it.

It's such an unbelievably stupid thing to say I still don't think it's real. It's the sort of thing a troll writes in YouTube comments. there's those lads that preach in Brixton that have all those mental views that talk like that: they're like the British versions of the blokes on that Louis Theroux documentary who were saying Henry the 8th and Tom Jones were black. The Nation of Islam believes that white people were created by an evil scientist with a big head. Look it up. It's all completely mental. It's nasty.
If it's really him I'll have a lot of trouble getting behind him after that. One thing I noticed in a documentary I watched on him was that when he went "home" most of the mates he had when he was growing up seemed to be white and all the people chatting to him in the street remembering him were white as well. I thought that was cool.
He doesn't get a pass for this. It's 2017. Just like Fury, who seems like he's alright really, I still can't really get my support behind a bigot.
Still... i love Mike Tyson and he's as big a scumbag as they come. I mean, Tyson got done for one rape but I bet there was more and worse. Lots of really cool boxers from history have been fornicating jerks.
Not impressed, though. Don't see why anybody is defending it.

"You lot"? Actually if you go back in my history, I pretty much said he could say what he liked, I could not give a shit BUT did say he should not then moan about lack of sponsorship. Getting headlines and a lot of flak over something clearly makes brands not want the association. #
Your post is insulting and assumptive, you do not have a clue what I would say about Fury as he has never just said things privately as he is too stupid to have a public and difference private side.
