Bad corner work, should have saved him 2 rounds of punishment .

Yarde looks like he might be the real thing, Good reality check for him tonight, will realise he needs to work on his defence and he’s not gonna knock em all over - looks very heavy handed.

Might be ,but does he bother any of the world title holders at this time ?.

type of guys id like for yarde next would be
karo murat
felix valera
edwin rodriguez
umar salamov
doudou ngumbu
dominic boesel
lionel thompson
shabransky (preferably win a win or two to distance the kov beating)
and of course theres the domestic names like buglioni, burton, ajisafe.

Glad to see Averlant being retired on his stool, it was tough going especially the last couple of rounds, I'm not sure what to make of Yarde tonight, won every round and was always in control against a fringe European level fighter and had him down twice before the stoppage, I just thought he looked a bit one paced and bored in there, took a couple of silly shots, Averlant offered next to nothing offensively but when he did let the odd right hand go they landed so was surprised to see him just back pedal
I thought Yarde would have success to the body and the 2 lefts that decked Averlant were sickeners, credit to Averlant for getting up and hanging in there, Yarde nailed him with some lovely right uppercuts through the middle as well, all in all a good win for Yarde but still a lot to learn

tbh i thought averlant pretty much landed next to no clean shots. thought yarde ducked out of the way of most those rights and at worst was grazed. ill take this type of shutout, knockdown, stoppage win vs a real tough 7-5 type over ricky summers, thats for sure

No far too soon for that of course, and there are some real beasts at the top of the LH tree.
Be great to see him swapping bombs with Beterbiev in a few years

Dubois and Yarde are complete hype jobs.. they are both going to lose when they step up. Yarde is easy to hit. Buglioni would eat him alive.

your obviously not applying the same standards to yarde and buglioni. buglioni gets hit absolutely f@cking loads himself and tbh yarde hasnt even been hit flush that much. yarde you said was exposed in a 4 round demolition job of a euro level fighter but buglioni showed no flaws worth mentioning in a very compeitive hard fight with ricky summers?
and of course thats not mentioning a really tough fight with area level andy robinson, a draw war with banjo markham, an absolute thrashing from fedor chudinov, who btw a guy like ryan ford did much better against. and even in buglionis by far best win he was down on the cards in the 12 th round vs a guy whose beaten no one better then miles shinkwin
why dont you make your input worth something and actually look at both cases. you just sound like one of those guys out to get attention with being overly bold

anyone who think buglioni eats him alive, tell me why with reference to both there attributes. not just saying one guy is easy to hit and leaving out that the other guy is even easier to hit.

Buglioni won't "eat him alive" by any means , will be more of a test for Yarde , which I think he will come through .
Will he ever have enough for the very top level of the division ?
The verdict is out on that one .

hmmm, not sure about that
tbh, at least right now, he doesnt look that level to me
most of the best guys can seriously punch and they also have lots of skill and wrinkles to there game. yarde doesnt so far look to be as complex or have as many ideas as the best at world level do, and his power doesnt really distinguish him all that much compared to stevenson, kov, bivol, browne, gvodzyk, jack, etc. maybe beterbiev lacks the finese the others have though
but i think hes ready to consistently fight euro level names now. someone like a murat , boesel, etc

dominic boesel is fighting serhiy demchenko on saturday for the vacant ebu title, i think the winner of that would be good for him next
boesel also fought averlant and won 116-112, 117-111, and 118-111, so would be a logical step in quality

Well, Yarde is easy to hit with straight punches, specifically the right hand. He also isn't a busy fighter. Buglioni throws a lot of straight punches, has a great engine and is a busy fighter. Need anything else?

buglionis very easy to hit with all types of punches, yarde throws very powerful punches. buglioni had rough times in super competitive fights with guys like ricky summers and banjo markham, yardes much better and far more powerful then them.
derp derp keithmoon style

but seriously , its beyond stupid to say yarde was exposed in wiping out a euro level fighter and will get easily beaten by frank, but not make anything of buglioni having a tough comeptitive fight with ricky summers, for one example.
i can only imagine what the 'yardes a hype job' guys would say if he only beat summers 115-114 among other very tough fights vs not very good opponents, and some downright pummelings in his career too.
buglionis a fun fighter whose slightly better then ricky summers. to say hell of all ppl easily beat yarde because of defense is hilarious

Styles make fights. Buglioni has the right style to beat Yarde. Yarde eats right hands and Buglioni will feed him them all night. We won't know who's wrong until they fight, which probably won't happen.
