it just blows my mind that somehow, since being terribly hurt and almost stopped vs ortiz, somehow wilder now cannot be tko/ko'd and is the only major puncher in this fight, while aj is a point scoring boxer who needs to box a perfect fight to see him go through the rounds and have a chance to win. one of the strangest 'trends' ive seen in fight analysis.

somehow, apparently its not like 20-0(20) aj has plenty of power to hurt and stop wilder, just because wilder made it through a gruelling life and death with luis ortiz, a man who couldnt stop malik scott. no, ajs not a power threat and he cant get to deontay first.

and apparently aj just stops everyone standing and after huge accumulations. its not like hes got any serious ko power at all. i mean sure, wilder didnt stop stiverne the first time, or drop duhuapas, and arreola retired on the stool after a beatdown, and molina and ortiz lasted late despite being hit with big shots much earlier. an its not like aj turned whyte into a cross eyed noodle, or took 3 rounds to do to molina what took wilder 10., or dropped every opponent hes faced in title fights.

i mean, wilder is a huge threat no doubt, hes faster and shoulnt be ruled out from landing fight changing punchers, but im seeing way way too much stuff that makes it seem as if somehow he cant get stopped, an that hes the only serious puncher in the fight, and that aj is some point scoring boxer who needs to box perfect to win rounds and have a chance

um, no, he can seriously hurt wilder at any time too. and wilder certainly can be stopped. aj has been hurt by whyte and down vs klit, wilder has been hurt by molina and ortiz and down by sconiers.ortiz needed only just a bit more for a stoppage and joshua has that extra bit to him to make it happen.

not saying joshua will, but hes very dangerous himself at all times. totally bizarre how much stuff has started coming out like hes not.

The way that I and probably most of the others see this is...

Wilder has a punchers chance in this fight. If he can land first he will win. If he can't then it will most likely be KO win for Joshua. If Wilder boxes cautiously he might survive to loose it widely on points.

It is not so much that Joshua needs to box perfectly to win. Its more that if Wilder tries to outbox him like he did to Stiverne on the first fight and stays on hes bike Joshua will coast to easy points win. In a way it needs to be flawless fight from Joshua because one can't do any big mistakes against Wilder. With that power its one and done.

Joshua by KO will be the most common pick in PTBF :box:

People keep saying Wilder is faster than Joshua... He's not faster... Watch the first 4 rounds of the Wilder-Washington Fight... Washington can't box very well but he was actually the faster athlete -- who easily won those rounds.

Joshua is a lot faster than Washington and has 10 X the boxing skills... I see AJ dominating and winning by KO... Ortiz was slowed by age and high blood pressure meds... He didn't have it anymore... He was like Ali against Holmes -- fat and old.

If you're 39 years old and have been self indulgent all your life like Ortiz -- age WILL catch up to you and it DID!!!
