The domestic scene has a lot of fighters on the up. Dubois, Joyce, Hughie, Gorman.... Not sure Pricey would do well in a shootout with the first 2 or trying to chase the lighter punchers around the ring...

It's a big "if" but if Povetkin were to dethrone Joshua suddenly Price's performance looks even better.

I'm glad he had some sort of redemption in defeat and hope he can still do something with his career. Am a bit concerned about the bad losses but on the other hand you can't rule out a fighter just because they won't be world champ.

I admire the big man for having a go when all is against him and hope he can have some good nights before he finally retires.

I think he could very easy be a setimental favorite , from all accounts , a nice guy and a solid familly man , based on him being a nice guy and a solid familly man , IF and i know if my aunty had balls she'd be my uncle , , but IF i was his trainer or promoter , i would simply just refuse to work with him , and be brutally honest, where i would say your to good fo B level , and gonna get hurt at A level , time to hang them up .

Of course , you would have lots of others who would court him but heh . my conscience would be clear ,

Im sure most fans love to see a knockout but i dont think a broadcaster love it on tv, especially if its a bad knock out and there are serious injuries.

There would be a big queue of heavy hitters queing up if Price was to continue. But its not pleasant to see time after time.

Im sure a sports channel breath a sigh of relief when the guys get up. If broadcasters loved this sort of stuff they would be showing replay after replay while the boxer was on the floor. This is not the case because a sports channel does not want to get mixed up with the after effects when a boxer is seriously injured.

If boxing didnt generate the money it does it possibly wouldnt be shown on tv as much. We know boxing generates millions and for broadcasters too so they have to be sensible and sensative while showing fights.

Thats my view anyway, right or wrong.

It's amazing that Lewis would lose fans for putting on a masterclass against a titanium chinned opponent with a Left hook from the ages.

You'd think Tua would have lost fans for his pathetic one-dimensional challenge to Lewis.

I like Price and hope he calls it a day.

If he carries on you can always guarantee good viewing figures because when he fights he either gets knocked out cold or he knocks the opponent out cold. So great for the causal fan I guess. Everyone loves a KO dont they!

Nobody loves a death in the ring though and standing there unconscious while you take whatever your opponent wants to throw doesn't make for a long term career plan.

The boy done good, he can't help not being able to take a shot, hes a good pundit and needs to go into that full time.

Price overcame some demons on Saturday. The fear seems to be lacking for the first time in 5 years. He can make a living at his level. Maybe buy a few houses to secure his future etc. Still money in the game for him.

I think boxing needs a change in the way we think about losses.

Here we have a seriously exciting fighter who is guaranteed to be in good fights. You put him in with practically anyone at Euro/World level and it's a case of him either getting KO'd or KOing someone. This is must watch TV!

If Price is willing to keep going, I think he should be given a headline event against a good name in the echo arena. Tell me that wouldn't sell? Put him in with Dave Allen in the Echo Arena. Then make that ominous leap to world level with a fight against Breazeale or Jarrell Miller.

Lewis still fought a boring fight. Lewis was one of the most boring heavyweights in his day and thats why he was always disliked by the americans. The first Holyfield fight was absolutely horrific from Lewis. Pushing out the jab and moving away all night with the occasional right hand. Never been more happy to see a fighter robbed than I was that night. He could be as boring as Rigondeaux in his prime. Completely stinking out the joint and then bringing in the fake jamaican accent and bragging about being a "pugilist specilist" after emptying an arena. Joshua is nowhere near as good as Lewis and he would receive a hiding that we can't comprehend (much worse than lewis vs grant) if they fought, but he is way more exciting and will be way more loved by the public.

What makes you so sure that Joshua loses to Lewis?

Skill wise probably not much between them but AJ has that killer instinct and bit of spite that Bruno seemed to lack.

Bruno and Lewis were pretty much even until Lewis put him away as well. That's an underrated fight that.

He was exciting then though. Same with wlad. Once steward got a hold of them, we got some of the most drab performances in heavyweight history
