nowhere near several times financially bgger then aj vs wlad. and both aj and wlad already made far more then wlder going into that. wlad was earnng around 10m a fght already
total pot of 115m-140m? no
1.4m usd to suddenly 50m usd? simply no.
1.5m us ppv now? no
how can you be so sceptcal of hearn but then buy that nonsense?
I just watched videos by Joshua and Wilder just released.
Confirmed flat fee 8.8 million pounds.
No other offer will be made or considered take it or leave it.

so 12.5m usd as the first offer? not awful as a start . 'fnal offer' gets used all the time as a tactic but doesnt at all mean thngs wont change. ggg was fnal offered by golden boy off the bat but then got somethng better.
the 115-140m pot stuffs nonsense anyway.

wlder gettng 40 percent of this supposedly gargantuan pot would mean he earns more then aj and wlad dd combine for there fght.
no way! its not THAT big of a fight
Yeah it is. AJ needs Wilder as much as Wilder needs AJ. It's the only fight in town. All of this is pathetic.

AJ needs the fight to cement any hopes of a legacy. It's more than the money. And yes...it is a bigger fight than AJ/Wlad.

wlad was a far bigger money generator then wilder. made like 10m a fight even vs nobodies and packed stadiums. the idea that wilder somehow makes this fight several times bigger financially is laughable
surely then wilder must be the worst managed boxer in history if hes this incrediblely massive draw but has only been making like 1m a fight

8.8m isn't bad.
If you consider the wlad fight was 60/40 and AJ banked 15m for that meaning the fighters pot was around £25m
8.8m is 40% of around 20-21m. Which to me if the fighters pot is around £20-21m is a fair offer.

but apparently the fighters pot will be 100m so any offer under 25m is just awful

Didnt Hearn offer Wilder 4/5/6million to face Whyte?

I'm split.
If I was Wilder I might take an increased guarantee and do zero promotion for the fight, as in not say a word. Same as O'Hara did to the McGuigans.
Alternatively, i'd like to see Hearn go to purse bids with the Russians and see AJ fight in Povetkins backyard...

Hope the Russian in Russia fight takes off , that i would find just has intriuging , Also not a fight that would make AJ any more than 50-50, chance of a win , and i think AJ would make less , that would take the wind out of Eddies sails .

If it goes to purse bids then it will need to be massive.
The Russians bid around 8mil to get wilder to go over.
They are going to need to do more than that to outbid Eddie, and AJ would still get 70%

Hearn is making this offer safe in the knowledge that Wilder's team are unable to counter with anything remotely similar.
He also knows that if the Wilder fight isn't made next that AJ has another multi-million pound payday against Povetkin to fall back on.
Unlike Wilder, who will probably fight Brezeale for a tenth of what AJ would make vs Povetkin.
This has given Hearn the freedom to flex his promotional muscles a little bit and show up Wilder's lack of financial clout.
Even though these tactics mean the fight probably wont be next, it will all be fuel on the fire for when it happens next year.

Ultimately Joshua can fight someone like Pulev in a stadium and earn more than five times what Wilder will for a fight like Ortiz. We're dealing with financial chalk and cheese here and Wilder will know that.
He's a bigger opponent with a better belt than Parker but it's largely the same game we're playing here. Wilder can carry on earning a comparative pittance against the same old names, or he can accept the short end of the deal for Joshua who earns more in one fight than he's done in pretty much a career.
The only way Wilder increases the strength of his position is if he becomes wildly popular and a proven ticket/PPV seller. But that simply isn't going to happen.

Its bigger as in their records and they are bith young and at the top of their game,it would be built up bigger than wlad vs AJ,its the biggest fight in boxing right now

its nowhere near having a pot for the fighters that several times bigger, ppl are throwing around somy funny numbers and saying that there will be 100m plus to split so 12.5 is like 10 percent
um, okay, so wilder should be getting like 30m+?

Well....
The problem is that whilst this fight is much 'bigger' than something like Joshua v Takam and a little 'bigger' than Joshua v Parker, the financial implications are negligible. Joshua is the financial draw and the vast majority of the money he generates comes from Joshua fans rather than boxing fans, so no matter who is in the opposite corner, the money is what the money is. The funds generated by Joshua v Parker is likely to be touching the very highest revenue that can be made for Joshua v Wilder so if the conversation is to be about fixed numbers rather than percentages, there has to be a degree of realism as to what the pot will be.
AJ v Wilder is probably ten times 'bigger' than AJ v Takam, but there will not be ten times the money to be split.

We can all only guess and assume what the figures are , but if Parker got approx 7 million and 33% which is the figures i've read , basic maths says the fight was worth approx 21-22 million , now Haern says the Wilder fight is worth more , lets say 60 mill , say what you want theres more interest in Wilder than Parker , so lets say 60 mill offering Wilder say 8.5-9 mill is only around 12%.
So Hearns is trying to say Wilder is worth around 20% LESS than Parker ,,, Blatant DUCK ,, OK we all can see its Wilders biggest pay day , but its also going to generate more for Mr Humble

Where do you see 3 times the revenue coming from?
Wilder is a similar level draw to Parker on his own.
Realistically anyone on the 'Joshua side' interested in seeing AJ v Wilder were also interested in AJ v Parker, so the sums are (AJ audience + Parker audience) - (Parker audience) + (Wilder Audience) = ?
I suggest that the ? is around 25% higher than AJ v Parker in actual numbers. People may want to see the Wilder fight more, but its the same number of people which translates to the same or similar revenue.

Very sensible and accurate post.
Wilder is turning down 5x his previous highest earnings. Joshua would have to make £75m-100m to achieve the same mark-up and that's not going to happen.

I think Wilder is a lot bigger draw than Parker , he may not be a big star in the states , but he's way way bigger than Parker , Hearns and Higgins done a great job in building up the Parker fight , but mainly in the UK and the Pacific ,,
Wilder on the other hand will bring in a bigger ppv than Parker , the gate be it Cardiff or Wembley, i don't think will matter , Joshua would fill that fighting Amir Khan ,
But i think it would sell better in the states and Europe than anything else AJ has done except for Klitchko .. Wilder has already drummed up lots of interest , does he deserve what he wants probably not , but based on the figures Hearn himself says , and he does say it will be huge , he deserves more than 12%
Like i said though Mcracken said , he does'nt want it till 2019 , so i just hope he's either made to fight the Russian or stripped , otherwise were gonna see him fight Brown , , or Whyte , or similar

There's not that much more interest to be fair, and you've just pulled those figures out your arse.
