Lennox Lewis vs Anthony Joshua
Re: Lennox Lewis vs Anthony Joshua
Lewis easily out-boxed a stubby tyke like Tyson.... But when it came to boxing a taller, stronger man of the same size. who had very good boxing skills??? Lewis was losing on all cards at the finish... He would never get away with fouls like this on Joshua... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wtdOteT5G0Q... They'd fight in England where AJ is much more popular.Cojimar 1946 wrote: ↑09 May 2018, 02:44 By and large the big guys Lewis faced weren't close to Joshua's class except Klitschko. When you combine Joshua's size with athleticism, tremendous power, and decent skills you have something formidable. I don't know if Lewis can count on winning a slugfest with Joshua so his best bet might be to try to box cautiously.

I wish Kalan was still here to argue about losing to a 20/1 underdog

One of about 100 threads I was dying to post on! With the benefit of the Ruiz fight, LL in 4.tiny_acres wrote: ↑03 Jun 2019, 12:28 I wish Kalan was still here to argue about losing to a 20/1 underdog

Re: Lennox Lewis vs Anthony Joshua
Four rounds? Is Lewis ill or something? He got Grant out of there in two, would have been one with a lot of referees.
I don't see any way Anthony Joshua could still be standing after two rounds with Lennox Lewis.

I can be conservative on my guesses/predictions. LL my all time favorite HW.overhand_right wrote: ↑03 Jun 2019, 12:41 Four rounds? Is Lewis ill or something? He got Grant out of there in two, would have been one with a lot of referees.

The "Joshua vs Liston" thread
Re: Lennox Lewis vs Anthony Joshua
OMG! I remember the idiocy on that one. "liston too small" "Liston too slow" "AJ too big and strong" ETc. I think Kalen was at his best/worst there. LMAO!!!

- Great to see Lewie-Lewie blowhards gather for your annual reunion.
For comparison, Lewie was starched by single punches, not AJ, but we know Lewie gots some muy malo koolaide for you to gurgle.
Josh is a modern day record setting heavy so far past the record of Lewie after his 22 undefeated fights it makes Lewie look like an oaf. Hercules cleaned out the stables of Al Haymon and finally stumbled in an off night to the glee of the usual soft lads lolling about with nothing better to do than jump on a hero when he's down. Lots of monkey biz surrounding this fight, so lets see if AJ rights his ship in London for more smooth sailing.
In the meantime, revel in the fact that the only thing separating Lewie from Big Dummy is an IQ above 80 and managing to be stripped of all his titles save his WBC that was days from the date of the chopping block when Lewie forfeited it in a disgrace for the ages.
