Am always deeply divided by these kind of fights.

On the one hand Joyce needs to get out there and be seen by the public, earn some pounds and most HW prospects have been developed this way. Joe is not being super-cyncial; some big names have had plenty of paid but glorified workouts.

But having said that - facing a guy who weighs under 15 stone and does not have an earthly unless Joyce dislocates a shoulder - seems like an utter waste of time and especially for a mature guy who needs to crack-on more than someone like a younger fella like Gorman or Dubois

Haye clearly had the TV date and an agreed headliner he needed to show; so just about acceptable I suppose but if he makes this a habit people will get hacked off.

The whole thing was just shameful

If Joyce keeps fighting once a month then this sort of opposition is acceptable for now.

He's clearly capable of fighting better though, so there's not much need to keep him from having a bit of a step up.
