Conlan has a small cut from an accidental head clash but he looks nice and relaxed in there as he enters the second half of the fight.

A close round six as Dos Santos finds some success up close. Dos will be happier with that session but he has work to do.

Dos Santos is proving to be a tough boxer. He’s forcing Conlan to really grind in these closing stages.

Really good card .
2 x 50/50s a 70/30 and an 80/20 (according to the bookies).
God that makes a change from overmatched prospects @ 1/50
And a lot of unbeaten records on the line too.
Even the dreaded, massive odds on - not really a competitive fight, let alone a fornicating-"event" - at the top was taking a massive step up on class.

I thought Conlan boxed ok, I agreed with the refs score I gave Dos Santos the 6th, he gave it a good go he was awkward and a bit gangly, hard to get inside, Conlan showed some nice movement side to side spinning off the ropes and I preferred him as a southpaw, he was able to land the left hand, he did miss a lot of shots as well and could never really hit Dos Santos clean enough to hurt him
Good win at this stage but lots to learn still for Conlan, needs to work on his inside game
Catterall/McKenna was even better than expected, Catterall looked superb in spells, McKenna is a tough game hardy bastard

Only caught Gerahty v Carroll and Caterall v McKenna.
Liked the look of Jono Caroll' shame he doesn't have huge power. Kept his shots really compact as well. Hopefully see him mix it domestically with Sam Bowen or James Tennyson for British or Euro titles.
Catterall should have been better, he was clearly a level above McKenna, he also should have been disqualified for that last lunch in the floor. It was his first proper fight for 8 months which is not good enough.
I like the Ohara Davies fight a lot and still fancy Catterall to stop him inside 6 rounds. He will have a full on camp to prepare for Davies plus it's been proven Ohara lacks the heart shown by Tyrone McKenna last night.

This.He avoided Glenn Foot ( a fight he would probably win) to fight an nobody in the Warrington undercard. This meant meant he failed to gain momentum from his career best win against Nurse.
Catterall is more than capable of winning the Lonsdale belt outright within a year, gaining momentum and developing.
Foot, McKenna and Ohara Davies would have been perfect for him as three fights in 2018.
It was 8 months since his last proper fight and I think it shown last night.
