Smith was competitive for 3 rounds. It's like when people were judging Hurd from the 3 or so rounds he was getting outboxed by Trout.

Uh, this forum is full of cowardly idiots.
"absolutely stomped" Smith really overstating it. That usually means a stoppage. Smith was competitive throughout and really the only difference was the punching power. Defense is a problem. The train was slowed down very interesting to see where goes because it surely not the top division.

Just like Liam was outboxing Munguia. The difference Hurd stopped his guy (a more proven guy than Smith). :KO:

You do know he was also looking bad against Tony Harrison.

Stop. You're obviously just trying to make something out of nothing. It was competitive for 3 rounds. What rounds did you give Liam Smith. Name me rounds that could've gone either way. :stop:

1,2,and 12. 3 could be debated. Munguia clearly won. I dont agree Hurd looked bad against Harrison it was competive but to say he looked bad is an overstatement. Munguia defense looked just as bad and if it was a puncher in there there would have problems.

Munguia won the fight but there's plenty of flaws to his game.
On the upside for Muniguia he throws plenty of punches and his bodyshot isn't bad,
That said I find myself asking however did he get himself to 29-0 going into the Liam Smith fight, I guess a lot of bouts in Mexico will do that for him.
Smith might have taken him had the fight been a few years previously but at this point he's passed his best still a decent effort from Liam.

Oh yeah if anyone was watching the HBO telecast of the fight did you notice in between the 9th and 10th round Munguia's grandmother took her false teeth out :D
No kidding she really did it was quality tv.
I don't miss a jab a hook or false teeth I'd make a great judge.
