I don't think Showtime will be watching and thinking 'we need to hurl all the money we have at this.'
If he doesn't get Pianetta out of there in the next 2 rounds then this isn't a great result.

Predictably dull, just like his title winning effort, he doesn’t seem to feel the need to excite the audience, Haye talking bollox...It doesn’t matter they will still make the fight, Showtime will love the personalities involved - and will probably forget this one ASAP.
I wonder if the bookies will still have Tyson favourite after this, over Wilder.

7 out of 10 from Fury. Like watching a sparring session but I always expect that from Tyson fights. Still not quite sold if Fury will fight Wilder next. Wilder has some great press this week from the WWE stage antics, which will raise his stock for the AJ fight.

Doesn't look like he's capable. Pianeta is slow as all hell, and doesn't seem to have much pop. Basically he's the exact opposite of Wilder stylistically.

What do you think of Fury so far?
He's definitely quicker on his feet, and more alert defensively in this fight. He'd have to be both against Wilder obviously.

Fury's not been in an exciting fight for years. I don't think it's about that with TF. It's 'rounds in the bank' for stamina tonight.

Pianeta's counteraction was poor, but still the fight was decent in the sense, that it was good to see improved Fury.

The only exciting fight I've ever seen him in personally was the Steve Cunningham fight. Though admittedly I didn't see many of his earlier bouts.

Fury looked alright, just a glorified sparring session really, Pianeta showed zero ambition and did diddly squat for 10 rounds, Fury's looked better before the lay off and he's looked worse, it was a typical Tyson Fury performance, I would've liked to have seen him sit on his shots for longer spells but nothing wrong with 10 rounds in the bank after the inactivity, he still moves well for a big guy and his conditioning was solid

Yeah. It's honestly not THAT big a deal that he didn't stop Pianeta because power punching ain't really his game anyway. It'd be more unacceptable for AJ or Wilder to go the distance with a Pianeta because those guys are known for their power. Fury is a different kind of fighter.

I totally get that Tyson needs the rounds - I can accept him sparring for the first 8 rounds, but then... jeez
He ABSOLUTELY shoulda put it on Pianeta in the 9th and 10th.
Fair enough if Pianeta toughed it out, but at least SOME aggression and excitement

Was a hard night for Selby. Rosales has improved dramatically and Selby has been inactive so it's a dangerous fight man! Hope it happens. Selby has the ring craft to get the W but Rosales will be on him from the kick off!

Wilder has a different style, he'll go looking for Fury. That suits TF.
