TC had issues with Benavidez early. But just started taking rounds until he finally walked a game Benavidez onto a huge right uppercut.

I really think that TC had an off night tonight and still nearly white washed him and finished bigtime when he could have danced it out for the last two rounds.

Based on a couple of the body shots that Benavidez landed tonight, I tend to agree. However, Bud would attempt to execute a much different strategy vs Spence.

I liked the way Crawford took the opportunity in his post-fight interview to thank his Mexican fans. It was a great way of acknowledging that most Mexicans arent bigots like Jose Benavidez.

Taking a page from Golovkin's book, smart.

Crawford knows the sweet science well. Benavidez appeared to be tough. He used his size, he had pretty good defence, he was very unconvinient early. But Crawford was able to figure out, what Benavidez was about, Crawford was schooling him in the second half of the bout and he made a spectacular finish.

Agreed.

I gave him two rounds. 2 and 4. The first four rounds were razor close.

Jose looked easy to hit. Decent performance from Crawford. Not sure he looked like the best P4P. But he got the job done.

I disagree. He made himself difficult to hit for most of the fight. Crawford played it just about as clean as he could. Benavidez is a huge / long welterweight.

I was super impressed with Benavidez , if he didn't have bad knee , I am sure things would have been a lot closer..

He said he didn’t want to make excuses after the fight but he did mention his knee. Also he said that he thought he put up a great fight and he’s a good boxer. Which he did.
