But Joshua trying to get the majority of the money (leading to a poor undercard) is perhaps a reason why (in your opinion) Joshua doesn't get enough respect.

Fair play to Fury for taking this fight but I'd like to see him take a few more fights to get him ready. Warren isn't known for taking risks with his fighters, so why isn't he giving Tyson more time to get ready? Does Warren not have enough faith in Fury in the longer term so he's cashing in now?

It's a 3 fight deal and this is the third fight. I believe small print (this is a general observation obviously I've not seen their contract!) Calls for an automatic renewal if a major title is won

Its a shame the small print of boxing contracts NEVER see the light of day. Don't see why not - why should this info be hidden from the public ?

I recall when Fwank had Kell Brook, us fans couldn't understand why Kell had a few nothing fights. Turns out it was because he was - on the steering of his dad - running down the contract so he could jump ship. They refused to extend/renew.
Understandably, Fwank was not going to give him the big push under those circumstances. I imagine it happens a lot, and us fans rarely get a glimpse behind the curtain.

I really think Fury has been "missold" as the icon of greatness.

Lets not forget had Michael Buffer gone.... for the winner "and still... Undisputed Champion, Wladimir Klitchsko". We wouldn't have been shocked. Fury obviously would have still be up there for a rematch (as Povetkin was after he lost to Klitchsko) - but it wasn't a clear cut win and a case of everyone knowing Fury had go this..... remember Glenn McCory had it level going to the last, and amazingly gave that round to Fury. It was a shit fight and the performance, whilst gangly and awkward, wasn't so great that he was a clear cut winner.

Then we've had the struggles against Cunnigham, argueably his next viable challenger. Derrick Chisora? perhaps I am being harsh (as these were two clear wins) but clearly Chisora was in terrible shape for fight 1 (and still won rounds) and I'm not convinced his camp was right for fight 2.

So lots of unanswered questions, but somehow seems to have this aura of Ali about him.... speaking of Ali..... I actually think Hughie still might be the best Fury.

Well if you was concerned for health, you certainly would not become a boxer. Better for career? Well the casual loves a knock out artist, so yes.

The last card was very poor. Even before the first bell of the first fight. I'm not sure why that is, because on average the cards are half decent. Not sure if they were having to shell out for Povetkin or not, I mean Povetkin is backed by the very wealthy Rabyinski.

He's investing in self promotion, so taking 90% of the takings from a poor card doesn't make much long term sense. That being said, how many star fighters sit on top of a stacked card?

He will always be an awkward opponent because he is tall, large, fast, has good movement for his size and the ability to switch hit and change his style. However I can't say I've ever came away from one of his fights thinking wow he's really great. He just doesn't seem to punch his weight which doesn't make for exciting fights. The win over Klit was a surprise to me but it was an awful "fight" and Klit lost because he didn't know what to do, Fury is so unorthodox. Against Wilder I see him either getting sparked quickly or winning on points, either result seems feasible to me. Of course many think he lost against John McDermott and was dropped by a fairly light punching CW so he is far from unbeatable. His chin still to be fully tested in my opinion, Wilder will do that.

Huge fan of both fighters. Wilder is 100% wrong for Tyson Fury.
I expect Wilder to bomb Fury out very quickly. With in 3 rounds at the latest.
But a first round brutal ko will not shock me in the slightest.

I see it the other way. Fury got to much of a boxing brain for wilder he would make him look silly. Joshua would be more of a test for Tyson but he would still deal with him convincingly

Yeah it's big fights like this that gets everyone excited. I agree with you mate I think Joshua will go for Whyte before entertaining either wilder or fury
