lazboy wrote: 03 Dec 2018, 20:01 Horn needs to settle down ffs. He’s just posted about being a no.3 middleweight behind Canelo and golovkin as if he believes that ranking is accurate. Too much self belief is a dangerous thing.
Horn has always had lots of self belief. You don't get as far as he has without it. But what we are seeing more recently is Glenn Rushton and Horn demonstrating their savvy by feeding the media the sort of stuff they will print.
They should then be prepared for the backlash.
Rushton and Horn are a long way smarter than most trainer-boxer pairings. They know what they are doing and aren't naive enough to believe there won't be some fan backlash.

Ok there purpose is to make waves and get the big fights in particular agaisnt golovkin and Canelo. Horn fights one of them soon and he’ll be damaged.

I mean, why wouldn’t I. He’s/they used their names specifically, wanting to fight Golovkin and Canelo in big fights in 2019.

haha good one! From putting on a lacklustre event to calling out two of the most dangerous and popular fighters on the planet, of course not to fight them according to you, Horn must be following the mayweather blueprint. Lucky for Horn he's far more skilled then Mayweather and won't need to age Glolovkin or canelo out, wouldn't you agree. Yes - case closed.

Horn isn't fighting GGG or Canelo. If he was going to stay at MW he wouldn't have requested/demanded a re-hydration clause against Mundine who wasn't as good as either of those guys at his best let alone the shell version of himself. I don't think he will go back down to WW but looking at SWW there is a chance he could beat one of the many WBA champions.

He’s called out golovkin and Canelo again saying he could fight in any of the three weight classes middleweight being the max. It certainly does bring him media attention.

Only in Australia.
If Horn has any intention of actually trying to land a Canelo or GGG fight his next fight will be in America or Europe against a decent middleweight.
He's not going to go from failing to be competitive in a welterweight fight to wiping out a faded, 40-something to sharing the ring with the biggest names in the near weight divisions.
The line for Canelo and/or GGG is long and at this time Horn is not at the front.

Yes only in aus and you’d think the attention it receives wouldn’t be positive when digested by fans. Hopefully we see him focus on realistic challengers than wait for a shot.
