Many of the names listed aren't really journeymen.
William Warburton beating Jason Welborn is one I would consider a real journeyman upset. In fact, Warburton beating anyone would be considered a journeyman winning a fight he wasn't supposed to.

Kevin McBride vs Tyson. Obviously Tyson was well done by the point but I still don't think many expected McBride to finish him off.

Cookie Wallace beat Scott LeDoux, Johnny Boudreaux and amateur star Nick Wells. Cookie was the quintessential trial horse.

While everyone keeps naming specific examples I gotta say my answer was the most accurate.
A Journeyman is NEVER supposed to beat the name fighter. NEVER. Every single time it's ever happened it was an upset, and spoiled the Promoters intended plans.

No it wasn't, because that wasn't what was posed. The OP was clearly asking people to share examples of where journeymen upset the fighter expected to win.

Blaine Logsdon was 21-18-2 (according to Boxrec) when he beat Slobodan Kacar who was having his second fight since losing his IBF light-heavyweight title and unbeaten record to Bobby Czyz.

Another big shock was late sub Shane mcphilbin upsetting Leon williams for the British cruiser weight title nobody gave Shane a chance in this one

I remember watching a card on Eurosport 21 years ago(!!)
Jamie Mckeever (4-0-0)vs John T Kelly (20-23-6).
Kelly outpointed Mckeever handily and had him down once and rocking on several occasions. Kelly only had 1 ko win on his record.

Yeah I remember that one jimmy Vincent was a very underrated fighter but certainly people around jimmy knew what he was capable of

Yeah, people go straight to the Mercer fight with Ferguson. Sullivan was a wonderful late stage performance from the Boogieman. Sullivan was in the top 10 at the time. I keep meaning to put my copy on Youtube, as the one that's up there is horrible quality.
Ferguson also destroyed Samson Pouha and Bobby Harris in upsets.

Indeed, although to be fair Holmes was 48
Harris also took the 0 from touted amateur turned pro David Izon who was 18-0, Harris was 5-6-2 at that point.

Najib Daho over Pat Cowdell was a big one. Daho not a journeyman but not considered to be at that level.

I used to love Fight Night with Gary Newbon and the likes of Daho and Sugar Gibiliru were winning British titles - great stuff
