I don't think Candy's assumptions are based on these latest claims alone. I think here we're talking about a continuous trend since he became WBC champion. It's a little perplexing that Wilder never really felt encouraged to pursue the other belts when they belonged to Klitschko, or even when they were distributed as they were after Fury dropped off the radar.

Whatever is happening, the absolute least he should be doing if he has any ambitions to have a unification with Joshua is to just sit round a table with Joshua's people and discuss.

He is 33, there is no time for dragging feet.

Again, we'll know more on Tuesday. The guy fought Ortiz (say what you will) and Fury this past year. AJ and Wilder are both to blame for not fighting each other. Why you bring Wlad into this is beyond me. I'm less of a Wilder fan than I used to be (by far), but I really can't stand this kind of anti-Wilder/AJ is the messiah crap.

i dont really get that at all, hes not going to get aj any faster not being on dazn and instead fighting breaxeale and kiwnacki. him and brezeale are already announcing something next week together anyway too

According to what Wilder was recently saying, he felt the exposure of being on TV was more beneficial to him even if in the short term he gets less money per fight. He is available to fight on these services if Fury or Joshua are available but he doesn't want to be tied into them long term because they are unproven.

What does it matter? $100m is a fortune. Surely the only concern is whether DAZN are good for the money and since they supposedly backed by billionaires, it shouldn't be much to worry about.

Wilder has been boxing eleven years with exposure limited to TV appearances. Even if his TV exposure were to double in what remains of his career, he's still not going to be widely known outside of boxing circles yet that is worth passing up a King's ransom ? It's his choice ... or is it?

Something thats been bothering me about this. If the AJ fight is not included what on earth are they paying $100m for?

How can they promise the Joshua fight when Joshua has stated he is not personally under contract to DAZN. He claims to be a free agent.

Could this be the problem with Wilder and the DAZN offer?

again it doesnt make sense to me, why go with showtime etc to build his profile so he might eventually get bigger money then he previously has, when hes been offered a straight path to huge money assuming the deal is as reported. plus hes 34 soon, how much longer is he going to be on the rise for. reminds me of how espinoza was trying to argue against ggg going to dazn instead of pbc/showtime by saying hed get more profile on showtime. uhm, why go for buildingn profile when ur mid 30s and are offered a straight path to huge money.

Can't argue with that Jam. I'm really curious to hear the reasons and hope we don't get a load of BS. 100 million is an awful lot of dough. Seems to me that either way he is going to fight three times before Joshua.

No question. Signing with dazn is the quickest shot to Joshua. But anybody without bias can't possibly be hesitant about the way theyre tossing around money.

Well Eddie is very close to AJ and he's a spokesman for DAZN. He has said many times that AJ's fights have to be shown in the UK by Skysports come-what-may, but beyond that they aren't tied to any broacasting platform so they will not rule out Showtime, Fox, ESPN, no broadcaster is getting in the way of the unification as far as they are concerned. I don't think that statement applies to BT Sport because I can't imagine Sky accepting anything less than a monopoly on UK broadcasts of the fight.

In conclusion Tiny I'd say yours is a valid point, but realistically I don't think Hearn/ Joshua are likely to put any obstacle in the way of Deontay's signature, they just want "Sophia" to complete the set
