luke could be a stylistic and length nightmare for loma

spurred on by a home crowd and maybe some friendly officiating, luke can do it

This will come down to levels. And while Campbell Olympic medal can be well respected, he will show us he is a level below Loma.

While I think Campbell will give Loma a much tougher fight than most to date, I’ll back him to figure out the puzzle in time to get the decision. Home crowd or not...

“I wish I could [confirm the fight], but Eddie has a deal in place with us for Lomachenko, he’s trying to finalise a deal with Campbell,” Arum said to IFL TV.

“The WBC gave it until next Friday. No more past next Friday. Eddie wants it in the UK, I want it in the UK, I believe Eddie has reserved the O2 Arena.

“Loma really is looking forward to fighting in England. He attended a fight recently with Usyk, his best friend, who fought Bellew, and the fans really loved Loma.

“He really wants to come back and fight in the UK, that’s no baloney. He really said to me ‘Bob, if possible, I want to fight in London’. It will, it will [happen in the UK]. He just has to finalise with Campbell and then we will announce.”

Hmm. Makes you wonder if Luke is looking to dodge the fight.

Well if he wants to win the WBC title it would be a good move to avoid him.

Disappointing not to get to see Loma in the UK - I can only presume with Arun saying they had deal with Matchroom that Campbell must be asking for too much and that’s how it has to go to US for the cash.

Hearn’s IFL at York Hall said Loma/Campbell deal close for coming to the UK again - last weekend in August but not over the line yet.

Yeh, I read before he said, that a deal may still be reached before purse bids.

Purse is this Friday - Date initially was 30th August.

It’s Loma who wants it in UK and pushing for it.

Charlie Edwards mandatory on same bill as well mentioned.
