Enlightened-One wrote: 07 Jul 2019, 08:04 There was once a time when GGG was an “anyone-anytime-anywhere” type of boxer, but according to his own employee, Tom Loeffler, Golovkin decided to walk away from fights against Billy Joe Saunders on two separate occasions, after the Brit had already agreed terms and signed contracts.

The reason for GGG withdrawing on both occasions, Canelo, regardless of any “official” excuses conveyed at the time. Gennadiy didn’t want to risk losing a huge payday opportunity.

If Gennadiy Golovkin doesn’t fight Canelo, then he won’t face anyone notable (as per the Vanes Martirosyan and Steve Rolls bouts), despite there being an abundance of talent competing at 160lbs.

I guarantee you that “The Businessman” GGG won’t fight a top guy if he can’t secure a bout against Canelo next.

GGG appreciates that he cannot afford to suffer a loss against the likes of Andrade, Saunders or Jacobs, because it’ll result in him missing out on the Canelo jackpot!

Please watch recent videos of GGG being asked to discuss potential bouts against the likes of Andrade, Jacobs or Saunders, as they’ll surely provide confirmation the words I’ve written in this post!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but GGG is prioritising his commercial worth over his legacy.

At some point, his fans will start losing patience about the nature of his safety-first business decisions.
You’ve been driving this “I hate GGG” ice cream truck for a long time dude. One time, you’re bound to be correct but again, you’re wrong. GGG doesn’t owe a thing to fans and has no belt to adhere to mandatories so what a legendary boxer does with his heyday is completely up to him and him alone.

If you weren’t in your Moms basement commenting on boxing but a world class boxer that has given everything he had in this sport but had your legacy stripped away from you with 2 bad decisions, would you fight a young hungry tiger for peanuts? It’s rhetorical so no need to answer. You wouldn’t unless you were stupid.

GGG has earned the right to be picky at this point. As a champion, he never missed a mandatory and was stripped or missed out on the scale. He was THE perfect Middleweight Champion of the world and will go down as one of the greatest ever. He has the right to smirk at ur comments and stop reading them after a sentence or two. Like we all do to ur posts.
:TU: :salut: Very well said.

Imo names like Martinez, Sturm, JCCJr and even Cotto should've been on GGG's resume as impressive wins. Actually GGG stopped the man-in Martin Murray who unofficially defeat Sturm and Martinez.

If that was truly the case, then it would only take a few seconds for you to quote any of my alleged “derogatory” words against GGG.

This is the second time I’ve asked you to do this, but you won’t do it, because you clearly cannot, since you already know for certain that your words are categorically untrue!

However, you’ll inevitably fabricate some sort of excuse to explain your inability to substantiate your allegations. Either that or you’ll conveniently ignore the challenge that I’ve issued on two occasions.

Are you slow? This post! I’m citing your posts above as being derogatory towards GGG you moron. You just don’t understand the word dude. I’m not trying to be rude but u have to be slow right? I’m not arguing with a slow person. I draw the line there

By the way, no one has been able to prove that I possess any real dislike for GGG.

And for the record, describing real-world events that actually happened, which is the only thing I’m guilty of, shouldn’t be regarded as being hateful, since facts don’t care about feelings.

I’ll address the other points you’ve raised after you’ve attempted to provide evidence of my alleged “hatred” of GGG.

That’s one thing we agree about!

GGG should have faced the likes of Sergio Martínez, Julio César Chávez Jr., Miguel Cotto and Felix Sturm, but K2/HBO never attempted to make those fights by submitting financial offers to the handlers of those fighters.

You might not believe me, but that’s the truth!

Dude, It’s a boxing site. None of these guys and girls want me to explain the meaning of the simple words that you use but don’t uunderstand well. This may be your 2nd language so who am I to criticize when I can barely speak 1 language. Plus, you just have had the same dumb argument and bent dick over GGG and you continue to sight the same dumb non proving events cumbersomely trying to make it fit your argument and it kinda makes me sad if you have to know the truth. I think you need a buddy. Call me and tell me about your day. I mean it. I will try not to laugh. What can I gain by making you possibly feel worse about you? See I’m sad again just thinking about doing something like that to you. Call me man. I’ve got a shoulder for you for real.

Is that what’s known as an “ad hominem” argument? Do you feel compelled to resort to desperate measures?

I can understand the reason why a GGG die-hard could become so emotional about the factual-accuracy of my claims, but your personal attacks don’t relate to the subject matter we’re discussing, and nor do they undermine the objective truths of reality, which my words clearly reflect. Otherwise, you would have been able to disprove them. :TU:

EO, would you agree that the majority of your comments about GGG have been made to take away from the lofty public opinion the boxing public has for GGG? Would you also agree that you feel that GGG should have moved up in weight when the pickings appeared slim at 160? Would you also say that GGG ultimately ducked BJS because he didn’t let the two networks compete for a fight between the two champions? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions then you my friend have officially “CRITICIZED” and yes, said derogatory comments of GGG.

WHETHER TRUE OR FALSE, YOUR COMMENTS WERE AND HAVE MORE OFTEN THAN NOT BEEN CRITICISM OF GGG.

Do you at least understand this? It doesn’t matter if you can prove criticism or not. It’s still criticism and this has been all that you have been trying to do of GGG’s career and any related OPS.

37-year-old GGG has had a great career with just 2 controversial losses, in fact boxing thousands miles away from his country of origin makes his achievements almost unprecedented ... trying to concentrate mostly on the negative aspects is either inability or unwillingness to see the forest for the trees..

My words reflect fact. I could not care less about common misconceptions.

Many of GGG’s die-hard fans have repeatedly made the same set of false claims to the point they’re hoping that raw repetition alone eventually displaces the truth.

If my claims are dishonest and factually-inaccurate, then it would be incredibly easy to disprove my words.

However, Golovkin’s fans are frustrated about the distinct lack of evidence to substantiate their own claims or refute mine, that they’ve resorted to “ad hominem” attacks.

Look-up the phrase “ad hominem” and then tell me you haven’t resorted to using the same dishonest debating tactic, since you already know for certain that it’s categorically impossible for you to disprove my words.

For the record, no one has ever been able to prove that my thoughts about GGG have ever been derogatory in nature, since all I’m guilty of is detailing the objective truths of reality.

If you’re watching the news on the television and the newscaster conveys some unpleasant events that offends you, would you become outraged and shout all sorts of obscenities about the person reading the news on the TV screen?

Let’s cut to the chase, why can’t you “talk the talk and walk the walk” and actually provide some real-world examples of my alleged “hatred” of GGG, since you’ve previously claimed I’m “always” criticising the man?

See? It’s maddening buddy. I wish you well with whatever you’re attempting to do. You are clearly a hater of GGG and his fan base. Same bullet points for 2 years and it’s my guess that most couldn’t care less of your opinion of GGG. We appreciate him and tour points are not even worth reading much less try to refute them.

Maybe we can argue about something in boxing that is a bit more current than a 3 year rehash. I’ll be looking out for the chance

The weird thing is, I can provide proof of me being extremely complimentary about GGG, but despite receiving constant criticism, not one single person from this forum has ever attempted to provide proof of me criticising him.

Do you not find that weird? You must surely know the reason for this?

If you claim I do it all the time, but yet you always refrain from quoting my allegedly “hateful” words, then why should I bother to pay attention to your constant criticism.

I’m man enough to apologise for doing wrong, but I won’t apologise for other people’s imaginations that don’t reflect reality.

If someone dreamt about something that I have no control over, then I’m surely not responsible for that, am I?

Ad hominem (Latin for "to the person"), short for argumentum ad hominem, typically refers to a fallacious argumentative strategy whereby genuine discussion of the topic at hand is avoided by instead attacking the character, motive, or other attribute of the person making the argument, or persons associated with the argument, rather than attacking the substance of the argument itself.
