I've just started the Greaves one, interesting hearing about the life of a journeyman. My only early gripe was he spoke about Johan Perez as being the biggest puncher he fought and that he was 11-0 with 8 or 9 by knockout in the 1st round and the rest in the 2nd. On checking Perez's record it wasn't full of quick KOs, he had a few but nothing like was being made out. Just makes me wonder what else is being exaggerated.

Listened to the Mikkel Kessler podcast twice already....extremely enjoyable 
Find a sunny spot, plonk down and enjoy 
Tris Dixon is superb again and allows the listener to relive the career of Denmark's greatest boxer IMO.
If, like me, you're a fan of Kessler you'll be hard pushed to find a better listen than this

He did laugh after saying that, I think he was joking. I did raise an eyebrow over the 30 stone bodybuilder who tried to attack him in his cell though, not saying it didn't happen but 30 stone!!

That’s one of the great things about this podcast, it’s not the Tris Dixon show. He allows the guest all the time in the world to talk and never interrupts which leads to some fantastic stories and insights.

I'm an hour into this and he's already come out with more Whoppers than burger king.
If you want a good laugh get the Bishop of Bentley's book!-Similar Whopper with all the toppings, gherkins, cheese the works!
End of the day he's got a gym now and if the kids going there listen to him and stay out of trouble then his story works.

I listened to the Kevin Mitchell one yesterday and I can't help but think that already, with 46 interviews on the record in just under a year, having heard everything from how Joe Calzaghe is trying to cope with the loss of his father through to the crazy, crazy world of Richard Towers, this is never going to be topped.
Appreciate this may sound like hyperbole if you haven't already been listening, but I honestly stand by every word. On the assumption the final number of the series is going to potentially be in the hundreds, there will never be a better body of work on the British boxing scene.

I've given the Costello & Bunce podcasts a bit of criticism at times, but the recent "Greatest fights" pods are highly enjoyable. Namely Ricky Hatton v Kosta Tszyu and Mike Tyson v Michael Spinks. Still to listen to the Sugar Ray Leonard v Thomas Hearns edition.

I've stuck the boot in sometimes when their pods aren't good, but credit where credit is due...I've listened to SRL v Hearns, Tyson v Spinks, Hamed v Barerra and the Hatton pod and they are really good. Sunbathing at the time probably elevates them even further

I enjoyed that a lot. Very insightful and honest - especially about the limitations of training at the Kronk, something I don't think I'd ever heard about before, and the death of boxing in its former capital New York. The spectrum of old school/new school in gyms is always interesting, when he talks about just doing pads and sparring I thought of some of the things with neck weights, sledge hammers and curved treadmills you see these days.

Maybe there are some decent new ideas when it comes to nutrition but training is training, floor work, skipping, sparring, pads and roadwork, nothing flash, nothing new, just do it.

Listened to the Mark Hobson one yesterday. Really good, I always thought he could have gone further than he did, and he would have most likely did if he boxed full time. Glad he beat his gambling addiction

Funnily enough I'm completely with you (glad you posted as I wondered if it was just me!). Great guy, but just no real insights. Felt it was that rarity where Tris was a bit too reverential/friendly and so it became more of a chat than an interview. Bit too much on how he's mates with Calzaghe and Froch (though to be fair he did get him to say Joe would have won that confrontation to be fair). Wasn't he a bailiff on the side, I recall him getting a lot of stick for that at the time.
His first fight again Enzo was a good effort, and it could have gone his way in my view.
