Hell, a guy he dominated and battered at the end is almost top 10.
Like you said, he did everything he was supposed to vs Chazz
Stop acting like a politician. Taking my comments out of context.

I'm not at all. That's what you said. You're the one trying to change it

Usyk did everything he was supposed to do. He was out of the ring for a long period of time coming off an injury and soundly defeated a true sized HW. He'll move up from here. Nothing to deduce from this fight other than Usyk is now a HW
Ok, here's my post. You are obviously taking the piss with me. No one with half a mind can take this as endorsement of a rating in the top 15 at HW.

It's not like Usyk's CW wins are worth nothing. He's not 1-0, fought not only vs Witherspoon.

Missed this thread, but as I would've put him at 10, I'm happy with the result.
Got to agree with Margaret. Putting him behind Hunter is simply bananas.

Usyk may prove to be a better heavyweight than Hunter, who knows. Hunter has the better resume at heavyweight as it stands.
The point you and others are missing is that he cannot be fairly judged by beating someone like Witherspoon! The only 3 times he stepped up in his career he was stopped....by gatekeepers. Let Usyk earn his rep at HW. The "rankings" by the abc orgs are about half ridiculous anyway.
Go ahead, rank him in
your top 10.

By the way, what if Shawn Porter moved up to heavyweight? He beat Usyk in the amateurs, so he should be ranked ahead of him then? Who the hell cares how they are "ranked".

Porter beat him over a decade ago, in the amateurs, at 165. No need to stretch things with Usyk dominating Hunter. But but, they sweated off a couple extra pounds the day before!!! LOL
It's simple. Usyk dominated a ranked top 15 opponent, and he cleared out a division and beat other fighters who had HW success and iced the likes of Haye and Charr, and pushed Pov to the limit. The idea that he's done absolutely nothing to get a top 10-15 rank is just silly.

I know right. Silly how some people are basically acting like he's a 1-0 pro and that's it. The cruisers he beat have HW KO wins over Haye and Charr, and a close decision loss to Povetkin. Then of course he dominated a ranked guy on this list.
Totally understandable not to have in him at the top of the list, but to say he's done nothing relevant and is defo not bottom top 10 or even top 15?

We all know how triangular theories work as far as wins in boxing. I said he needs to earn his rep at heavyweight and stand by that. He may prove to be a great heavyweight, but his win over the lowly semi-shot Witherspoon is not an accurate measure of his ability. His rank doesn't matter. How he performs against good heavyweights does. Witherspoon isn't a good heavy.

It's not triangles, it's simple really. He beat guys who regardless of their weights were far better than recognizable HWs or at minimum right at their level. He also, head-to-head, in the pros, beat up a guy on this list. A 9-3 win where he absolutely pummelled Hunter silly in the last round. The 'oh it didn't happen at hw' is just a cop out. They are small HWs who simply drained some pounds the day before to make cruiser. They both were pretty much identical in size to how they are now and there is nothing there to suggest they have substantially shifted closer in quality.
To equate that to amateur fights over a decade ago at MW is weak. David Grayton beating Errol Spence in the amateurs is more relevant than that one
