LOL. Hearn always saying he would get slated if PPV went above 20 quid. As if the event isn't making enough money with oil money. Sky now trying to fleece an extra fiver of people.
Andy Ruiz Jr vs Anthony Joshua rematch pay-per-view will cost £24.95 on Sky Sports Box Office

Anyone who buys this is the reason boxing is dying, you may aswell get the steak and ram it through boxings heart.
Just watched an interview and Eddie Hearn blamed sky for putting it up saying "sky put this one up because its one of the greatest fights in the history of heavyweight boxing" he then says "like the last one was 9.95 this one is 24.95 " how can he compare ksi vs logan to AJ vs Ruiz?
Well when my sky contract is up im fckin them off cause when i question the ppv they always say its the promotor of the fight that dictates if its ppv.

Always assumed it’s sky who decide the price, it’s a huge event, so IMO 25 ain’t bad for an evenings entertainment - trip to cinema will cost you that, or more, and it’s way less than the US have been paying for years ...It’s just the way things are in boxing, if you wanna see the big big fights, and I mean real fights like this one, not that crap from a couple weeks ago, then you gotta pay.
Back in the day we you to pay the big bucks and go to see flights like this in the cinema.. Holmes /Cooney etc. I’m not arsing around with a dodgy stream

Wouldn’t it have been nice to have this on regular Sky Sports, given the presumably insane fee the Saudis paid to host it. Plenty of money to go around this time without fleecing boxing fans, so they can’t use the excuse that PPV is required to ‘make it happen’. Instead, they’re charging a higher fee than normal. ![[icon_shame.gif] :shame:](./images/smilies/icon_shame.gif)
They can go fvck themselves, I’m #teamstream for this one, maybe even listen on the old wireless.

So you happy to pay the cinema a monthly subscription of £80 only for them to say "well to watch these films its an extra 25 quid" 25 is a rip off and its only going up and up and up,i remember when it was 10 then it was 11.95 then 14 .95 then AJ bursts onto the scene selling out 90,000seater stadiums yet sky/hearn still wanted more money and would throw it up again to 16.95 then up to 19.95 now its going up to 24.95 when his product is dying, like stuarty said i hope AJ gets splatted then sky has no ace in the pack. If you subscribe and others like you then they will just keep putting them on ppv and putting them up in price. We didnt have to pay for parker vs ruiz when they were both undefeated did we?MightyWarrior wrote: ↑23 Nov 2019, 03:32 Always assumed it’s sky who decide the price, it’s a huge event, so IMO 25 ain’t bad for an evenings entertainment - trip to cinema will cost you that, or more, and it’s way less than the US have been paying for years ...It’s just the way things are in boxing, if you wanna see the big big fights, and I mean real fights like this one, not that crap from a couple weeks ago, then you gotta pay.

I think a bit like the British housing market ten years ago, the bubble will burst. It wouldn’t take much ...Joshua hammered into retirement by Ruiz, Whyte banned for 4 or more years, Smith exposed or injured. There quickly wouldn’t be much left for Sky to justify £25 PPV’s.

THE PPVs and subsequent terrible non ppv fights on SKy are why I now subscribe to an IPTV service. £50 for the year and get them all in HD streams. I still subscribe to NOW Tv entertainment and movies package but I no longer fund the sports side of Sky.

Cockney Rejects are headlining an oi all dayer in Edinburgh and tickets are £20. I'll spend my money on that and watch the fight a week later when Sky put it out for free.

I’ve never been a fan of ppv I’ve always believed that sky subscription is too high anyway never mind ppv on top I won’t be buying it mind you no doubt plenty of punters will buy it and keep complaining lol Eddie and sky just shut their ears to the complaints and continue collecting lol so basically the punter is shafting himself

I stopped buying PPV events when it went up to 19.99. Fooked it off back then. Actually thought that I might just fork out the 20 quid to watch this one for the first time but then found out it was 25 quid.
They can fook off. I shall stream it illegally.

Just realised I’ll be at the football from 3-5, then it’s also the Manchester derby from 5:30, I’ll have plenty of sport to occupy me without paying 25 quid on top.

Is there anyone on here that hand on heart would have paid £19.95, but won't pay £24.95?

I was 50/50 on buying it, but not even considering it anymore with the price hike out of principle.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑25 Nov 2019, 09:11 Is there anyone on here that hand on heart would have paid £19.95, but won't pay £24.95?

It's another Sky/Hearn cash grab. Lining their pockets and squeezing every penny they can out their cash cow just in case he gets chinned again and personally i hope he does...Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑25 Nov 2019, 09:43I was 50/50 on buying it, but not even considering it anymore with the price hike out of principle.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑25 Nov 2019, 09:11 Is there anyone on here that hand on heart would have paid £19.95, but won't pay £24.95?

IPTV can be hit or miss with these fights with regards to it freezing occasionally but Pub round corner from me 5 mins walk away is showing it and id rather walk round there and have about 8 Pints for that money than pay up to the pudenda involved.
think it will sell though due to what happened in last fight , a lot of AJ Fans think he will walk it this time as he wasn't the " real" AJ in First fight.
I don't care who wins really but I genuinely did have a dream a few weeks back the Ruiz Knocked him out ( and I'm not getting confused with first fight ) - Ruiz is a tough guy and wont be faced and brimming with confidence . AJ will be the one who is more cagey I think and has his Brand on the line .
