He has a belt.
Plus some of the orgs don’t rate WBO..

They could have Crawford fight for the WBC Silver or Interim or sumat. They have done similar things in the past.

No orgs rate the others champions. Never have. Pretty sure you can't unify with an interim from a different org either. Prograis and Taylor are his best bets.

They allowed GGG to have the WBC Interim. They do what they want when they wanna force a fight.

I'm saying the wbo would strip Crawford if he fought for the wbc interim.

Yes, but since they won't fight him if they were ranked by his WBO, they would be forced to if the sanctioning bodies where they are champions would have Crawford as #1.

If not PBC fighters, Crawford needs to face Pac next. He must finally have some proved top level opponent.

Pac is PBC mate.. but I’m guessing he would have no issue fighting Bud.

Oh, I forgot, he's no longer with Top Rank. Well, Pac himself would have no issue, but will the managers come to an agreement?

Did Pacquiao really reject the opportunity to face Crawford or did Arum refuse to pay the Filipino the same purse he received for the Thurman bout?

Wasn’t Pac on guaranteed $20m with Top Rank?

Crawford was paid a $4 million purse for this bout..

Not bad for a non-PBC guy..

EO, you always say boxers are PRIZE-fighters before PRIDE-fighters.. Gotta look after youself and family first.

Lucky bastard!

Then again the only one from the PBC/Haymon that I would love to see him up against is Mayweather.

Pacquiao wanted a $20m guarantee to face Crawford (as per his former manager Michael Koncz), but Bob Arum wouldn't pay it, claiming it was “too much”.

Shortly before joining the PBC, Pacquiao also had to file a lawsuit against Bob Arum, because the Top Rank boss hadn’t paid him broadcast fees. So the Filipino was owed money.

By the way, Pacquiao received $20m from the PBC to face Thurman, with his NSAC guarantee being $10m.

Now that the Filipino hall-of-famer is with the PBC, he doesn’t really need Terence Crawford. In fact, nobody from Al Haymon's stable need to work with ESPN/Top Rank.

I agree with what you’ve wrote and have conveyed precisely the same thoughts on multiple occasions.

Crawford could have signed with the PBC and faced PBC fighters.

Instead he chose the pay cheque, clearly appreciating the fact that he won’t have any credible opponents to face.

I don’t blame Crawford for chasing the dollar in preference over sporting glory, but it seems that many of his die-hard fans prefer to believe that the PBC guys are somehow “ducking” him, which is clearly untrue.

Crawford extended his contract with Top Rank during September of last year fully appreciating the consequences of his own actions. He is solely responsible for the situation he's placed himself in.

Terence Crawford doesn’t deserve any sympathy for his own plight. He might not receive many opportunities to engage in marquee bouts, but at least he’ll be well-paid!

Most of the PBC guys won’t receive the sort of purses Crawford receives, but they’ll still earn decent money and all of them will inevitably mix with a better calibre of opposition than ‘Bud’ is capable of doing at 147lbs.

According to Arum, he recently said he was covering for Manny when Manny was with TR, saying he refused to let Manny fight Crawford. He now says it was Manny all along that didn't want that fight. We all know Roach didn't want it either.

It would seem foolish to put Manny up against Crawford or Spence, but hey, I thought it was foolish to put him up against Thurman. At the end of the day if you are a belt holder and refuse to fight another belt holder, you need to retire.
