I remember years ago Barry Jones on BN didn't know how to subtract a point after a foul. He said "well, it can't be 9-9 cause it's a 10 point must system, so is that a 10-9 the other way!?'. The worst part is he's not the only pundit I've seen make that same mistake.

I remember him going up to Howard Eastman once after Eastman had fought somebody who'd come in as a late replacement, and basically wouldn't let it go that the guy hadn't put in a bad performance.

Interviewer; "So, Howard. Your opponent wasn't very good tonight ,was he?"
Howard; "I would never say that about an opponent. I would never show them that disrespect."
Interviewer; "No I understand that, but he wasn't very good, was he?"
Howard; "To be fair, he only knew he was coming in at 48 hours notice, so I think he gave a good account of himself."
Interviewer; "Yeah, I appreciate the circumstances. But would it be fair to say that wasn't the sort of performance you'd expect in an opponent?"
Howard; "Well, like I said, he'd had very little warning or preparation for the fight and it took me into the middle-rounds. So I think it was fair play."
Interviewer; "Yeah but come on. He wasn't at his best, was he?"

There were several interviews like that. When he seemed to want to get a controversial sound byte rather than any sensible critique.

I also remember Foreman saying Bowe v Holyfield 3 should be stopped “or he’ll (Holyfield) end up in a pine box.” That was pretty bad, even though his concerns were genuine.

Don't recall which fight it was, but this one really cracked me up:
