There is a lot of bad blood here. Parker will want to make an example of Fa (who has already been partially exposed). Of course Fa has one punch KO power that should not be overlooked. However, this has all the hallmarks of an early KO. Prediction : Parker via brutal KO between rounds 1-3.

Fa is a regional level fighter, Parker used to be good, but he lost his fire along the way.
Best guess, Parker wide UD.

It's been a long time since Joe brurally knocked out anyone. Does Flores count, I forget how it ended?

I think he had on the ropes and busted him up with a flurry of punches. Flores went down in a heap.

Yeah Joe's a good fighter but brutal knock-outs are not really his specialty. I think it's more likely a stoppage win or even a decision.

So you’re saying it’ll likely go Fa beyond the midway point then?

Last year in the first few months of the year we had Fury vs Wilder 2.
This year this is the biggest fight on the Horizon.
Not a good sign for 2021 Boxing.

Re: Joseph Parker vs. Junior Fa - February 27, 2021
Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker predicts a knockout victory over WBO #5 heavyweight Junior Fa when they clash at Sparks Arena in Auckland New Zealand on February 26.
“I’ll knock him out between rounds one and twelve!” Parker told Stuff. “I know what I can do. I’m not one of those guys who can predict what’s going to happen, but I know if I go in there, let my hands go and throw combinations, that I can do a lot of damage and he’s going to be on the receiving end of that.”

Any word on if this fights still on for sat? Last I heard they were making the call this week depending on if they could have crowds or not due to level 1 ristrictions or something.

Last thing I can see on the news was from the 18th, Parker saying he's gonna KO Fa.

As far as I know it's on
Parker is going to be on the news tonight talking about the fight.
We had a covid blip last week, appears to be under control and we are back to normal again.

Yessss, I love this fight to be honest but if it got delayed again id almost want parker to move on and try again with chisora or something... Speaking off, is it unristricted crowds? if so do you think Parker/eddie/NZ would have any chance in tempting chissora to NZ?

Normal is normal, like no pandemic.
Dunno why Del would want to fight Parker, unless the money was good, and it wouldn't be. But yes, anyone can come here, it's just a 2 week hotel stay, and then party like it's 2019

I just can’t get myself excited about Parker. I’ve watched his fights, and there’s just something missing. Idk what it is. Never been a big fan. Don’t dislike the man just can’t get behind him.

Parker will avenge a couple of losses he suffered to Fa in the amateur ranks by scoring a comfortable decision victory, in what is likely to be a lacklustre bout.

I agree. There is nothing that puts him apart from the rest of the pack. There was a lot of hype earlier in his career, and I think it just keeps hanging in there. He hasn't done anything to make me think he's elite, or even very good.

The hype was mostly built up prior to the AJ fight, he then put in an uninspiring performance in the unification and subsequently took a loss against Whyte even though he looked much more exciting in that one. Since then he's faced only D-level opposition. Fa is also in that category but this has more hype due to it being somewhat of a grudge match.
Should he beat Fa as comfortably as we expect him to, then there's plenty of better Matchroom heavies that would be a good B-level opponent to cement his position in the top 10 like Chisora, Hrgovic and Bakole. I think Eddie's more likely to put him in with Zhang though to be honest.

Parker 240lb , fa 260lb . Good weights for both of them which is a nice bonus.

There will be 12k fans in attendance for this.
"There is a lot of hype in New Zealand around the Parker versus Fa heavyweight clash. It is great for New Zealand to have two highly ranked heavyweights in both the WBO and IBF," Barry told Boxing Scene. "With Joe ranked #2 with the WBO and Fa #6, the winner of this fight will be in a very solid position moving forward. Being able to stage this fight during the pandemic and at a 12,000 seat capacity indoor stadium, Spark Arena in Auckland is totally a blessing. The fans are aware of this rivalry. Joseph Parker is a former WBO heavyweight champion who is of Samoan heritage against Junior Fa, an undefeated contender of Tongan heritage which makes for a big rivalry."
