Great photo.

Both challenged for world titles on the same weekend in September 1986.

Boza-Edwards came up short against hot property Hector Camacho and we all know what Honeyghan did to Curry.

I can still recall watching Cornelius' title tilt against Camacho on ITV. A Saturday afternoon show.

Then Lloyd on the Sunday...ITV again.

What a weekend of boxing !

Undercard of Benn v Wharton. Stacked fornicating bill. I had great seats too. Just a few rows back from ringside.
I was a few rows back that night too, it was great to see Lloyd have one last hurrah, he was absolutely buzzing after the fight and was the opponent that night for sure. The card was part of the short lived alliance with Don King, so ye had the likes of Michael Nunn on the bill, and the current #236 rated Heavyweight in the world who would win the World Title in his very next fight.

In his pomp Nunn was near unbeatable. IMO Toney got lucky icing Nunn and never gave Michael the rematch he craved.
