Blimey I’d hope Benn could get past someone who lost by shut out to a bloke that Kell Brook beat.

I know nothing of Formella but hopefully he isn’t going to be the banana skin, coming into this off his first loss he might feel he needs to prove something.

Looks like 12 rounds of steady pressure is what’s required.

could be a plot twist, benn defence is leaky.

Formella is now proved to be a gatekeeper with a journeyman potential.

Benn looked decent, but still no shades of the daddy.

Think it's time we dropped the 'He's not even area level!' criticism. He's clearly got something.

Good progressive learning fight for Benn last night, still needs to work on his defense a bigger puncher might of done more damage than Formella last night, one thing I noticed is both Connor and his Dad have that knocked knees look when missing and getting hit.

Benn looked strong through the 10 rounds, I thought he might tire late on,but he seemed to keep his strength and shape putting it on Formella.

Speaking of Formella, the lad has taken a lot of punches in his last couple of fights, he's brave and needs a couple of easier comeback fights , hope he doesn't get put back in with another tough one next time out.

Yes, I agree, it's time for the top British fights now.

He hasn't got his dad's power, that's pretty clear. Formella has spent entire fights on the run winning with potshots and in-out-and-under combos, but for long stretches against Benn he was quite happy to stand in mid-range and try to outbox him (Generally without too much success and not the game plan I thought he should use.)

But Benn looked sharp, accurate, relentless, heavy-handed (if not explosive) and overall very dominant against a tough guy who has beaten decent opposition. That comes off two knockouts against experienced European title challengers. He's definitely got championship potential, whether that's at British level or better.

Obv going pro young with little amateur experience means he is doing all his learning in the gym.

He has been around and sparring against top quality from the likes of Mitchell to the likes of Burns and Brook.

He has clearly come on a lot and has been brought along sensibly.

Let's see how far he will go, he will def get the opportunity and he def will be fun to watch.

If he can then yeah, why not, but he looked in excellent shape last night. Not sure how easy it’d be to lose another half a stone.
