You're a f*cking troll.
I'll refrain from submitting another post to this thread, since everyone's over-reaction to my posts was due to them attempting to defend your false claim, when you dishonestly pretended that Quillin ducked GGG!!!
There's actual proof of Team Golovkin refusing to take the fight (as supplied by apollo creed - a self-confessed die-hard GGG fan), but absolutely none to suggest that Quillin wasn't willing to face Gennadiy.
I've made my point and nothing more needs to be said.

When a smaller fighter i.e. Kell Brook moving up to fight GGG or Mikey Garcia moving up to fight Spence moves up. I don't discredit the bigger guy for winning the fight as everyone expects, I just think it's a case of the smaller fighter "Daring to be great"
It doesn't always work out, in fact it usually doesn't, but that's where the intrigue lies. Is this guy one of the special ones who can pull it off?
It's happened a few times in the last 20 years or so. Mosley skipped past 140 to beat Oscar De La Hoya, Pacquiao did the same.
Hopkins skipped 168 and defeated Tarver straight away.
So it's a special and significant thing when it happens, but it doesn't take away from the fact that the bigger guy still beat a highly skilled fighter should he win.

I literally spent the whole day winding EO up.. seeing how much I had to post to finally get him to stop posting on the thread, but he just kept going.
I take that as a victory.

But but but you can't refute him though. Only he can do that by applying different standards to himself based on the fighter he's discussing

I had it 115-112 Derevyanchenko
Yes indeed Golovkin was lucky to get that one. Best performance I've seen any of Golovkin's opponents give.
Derevyanchenko is unfortunate in that he seems to be a really good fighter, but he lacks pop, and lacks name recognition so close fights would often go against him I'll bet.
Note: The * indicates a particularly close round that could swing either way.
The only fight, including both vs Canelo, that I felt any doubt about GGG winning was against Daniel Jacobs. Had the Canelo fight not already been set, I wouldn’t be able to bitch about Jacobs getting the nod.

Jacobs was definitely another close one. Closer than either Canelo fight in my mind.
I suppose The Canelo fights are a bit of justice if you feel like GGG got the benefit of favoritism for being the bigger star against Jacobs and Derevyanchenko. Then he got the opposite treatment against Canelo.

I do feel GGG was lucky to get the W against derevyanchenko. Not surprising because thats sports
Jacobs fight was close too
He got those wins because he is the star. He lost canelo 2 because canelo is a bigger star

The knockdowns definitely helped him in both fights.
I don't remember the Jacobs fight as clearly as I hadn't seen it since it happened, and I just watched the Derevyanchenko fight the other day, but without that knockdown in the 1st then he loses that round 10-9 instead of winning it 10-8. That well may have been the difference between victory and defeat. I don't remember if the round where he knocked down Jacobs was similarly close or not.

Better than most have been able to digest those fights and you did it in one paragraph perfectly. Time for someone to sign this freaking guy. Well said bud.

You're a f*cking troll.
User Datsue described very well this type of attention seeker-troll like E.O :
" Intelligent or not, he's a complete disingenuous arsehole who cloaks his own opinions in a veneer of bullshit while pretending that he's in fact impartial.
Yet watch him when it's someone he doesn't have a gaping wide-on for in the dock...!
It's like listening to one of those right-wing media types who thinks that saying the word "fact" can simply make inconvenient things that they don't like go away, & that if they keep thrashing things out in a long-winded convoluted fashion you'll lose sight of consensus reality & accept their Byzantine version of events that—despite their constant appeals to some sort of "objectivity"—is only supported by their opinions & their bullshit rhetoric. "
Almost everytime when EO is posting he's leaving a 'maneuvering space' to have a leverage in a possible arque with other posters. He just craves for attention and validation on this forum. lol

GgG Fought vanes to not risk the canelo fight
He later fought derevyanchenko when derevyanchenko was better and GGG was himself older
So while he passed on it originally, he in reality fought a tougher fight later against derevyanchenko
Any ducking talk is stupid when you put it in correct historical context
True!
Indeed GGG fought even a more polished&experienced version of Chenko.

I can imagine EO ever being confronted when he's wrong about something being like The Fonz "I was wr-wr-wr-wr. I was wr-wr-wr-wr-wr"
By the way. Accusing a guy who fought somebody of ducking him, while saying that a guy who didn't fight somebody didn't duck him. Now you're knocking on the door of being a troll.
more likely a "bored-armchair-attention seeker-troll"
Do you imagine how EO is talking when he's having a conversation in real life?

Since it seems that nobody is willing to pay attention to anything I write, regardless the amount of evidence I supply...
I'll allow a self-confessed die-hard GGG fan to verify the fact that GGG walked away from the Quillin fight, since it'll be easier for you to digest his words rather than mine..

20 March 2014 'Negotiations of Gennady Golovkin and Peter Quillin fight have failed, Tengrinews report citing Oleg German, manager of the WBA and IBO champion from Kazakhstan. According to German, Golovkin has been working with HBO for a long time, while Quillin has a contract with Showtime. The boxers could not agree on the company that would broadcast the fight. Quillin’s promoters suggested having a competition between the two channels and give the winner the right to broadcast the Golovkin-Quillin fight. But GGG’s team could not agree to that because of their binding agreement with HBO.'
And if someone like apollo creed can openly admit that GGG ducked Quillin, then surely you can too?
Quillin wanted the fight to go to the highest bidder, but GGG didn't.
Even though yourself and gilgamesh apparently despise me, it's pretty clear that I at least know my stuff.
Stop twisting and manipulate the truth as you like, boy! I just quoted a media article from the internet.
At that time GGG was contractually tied with HBO. He wasn't his fault. Also he wasn't a big name/high profile fighter to have a big influence.
Golovkin could not get fighters like Martinez, Cotto or JCCjr who fought on HBO, let alone Quillin who was fighting on other TV network.
I guess GGG as a fighter wasn't financially backed up enough to lure the big names at that time to fight him. GGG as a fighter was very eager to fight those champions.

i had it the same except gave ggg 11 and 12 so had him winning , tbh i thought he rebounded well after the torrid 10th, surprised you don't even have those as swing rounds!
ggg lost canelo 2 and dj though
GGG win the 12th cleanly and was slightly the better in the 11th. He also won the second round, The OP has scoring issues.
I forget how old GGG was for this fight, but his longevity and beating much younger fighters at his age is impressive.

I just rewatched Golovkin vs Canelo 2 again recently, and saw it as a pretty clear Golovkin win.
The Daniel Jacobs fight was closer than either Canelo fight to me, and I had Golovkin winning that one by a narrow margin. I wanna say either 115-112 or 114-113. That was one night before I had to go to the Hospital for a 4 day stay due to an illness so I was feeling a little off that night watching that fight, but I watched it.
Interesting you had the last 2 rounds for Golovkin as that would've swung the fight his way on my card, but I didn't see 'em that way.
canelo won second fight. for me he changed up his tactis and went after triple g deserves credit , i thought triple g could of lost that fight with jabocs surprised when he got the decision , i think triple g won against derevyanchenko though havent watched it back , g ducks no one , a true fighting man to the bone

I agree Canelo changed up his tactics. I agree he fought better than he fought the 1st time. I don't agree he won the fight. In fact I very much don't agree with it. I feel like the very best you could've given Canelo was a draw, and that's only if you're awarding him every close round.

yea a lot of rounds were close maybe triple gs rep of irion fists went against him as in my brain iam expecting him to ko saul so if he isnt whats happening . lots of factors it was a cant argue fight,i think g won the first the 2nd could of been win lose or draw wouldnt have complained , i feel i really a feel in my heart it should of been 1.1 with them, cant dispute you if you feel g won
