well, it's not like he's faced a who's who of durability yet, most of his opponents have lots of ko losses. the last one ko'd in 7 of 14 losses, whittaker in 3 of his 5 losses, gordon in 5 of 6 losses. only williams has a reputation for some durability (although he was ko'd in 3 straight when fisher fought him)

if they are confident in him, put him in with soko. or how about mark bennet? he showed a good chin vs the cabbage

I like him, but it's hard to tell the vital things like engine. Great he is getting out a lot, despite everything.

Chris Healey in december would be good. Winning record (just), Southpaw (good to get the looks in early), not a big puncher.

Then I want to see him in with bennet in a 6 rounder. Be a decent chance it would get him some rounds, get in with a proper big man, could make little babic comparisos, but not to much heat coming back. But im not convinced bennet should be fighting in december, he took a proper brain ratteling last time out. Bennet Feb next year in a 6 rounder

That being said, I dont mind if he fights some literal uber drivers, as long as he is active, hate seeing fresh prospects fight 2 or 3 times a year.

I agree with Bennett as long as he gets fair warning.
Fisher intrigues me, it's really early of course, but I'd love to know if he has an engine.

I think the engine might be fine - the guy was a rugby player (ok, not pro, but still).

He's no Maywether but heavyweight is such a freakish zone it doesn't really matter. He needs to pick his punches a bit more, throw a proper jab, but if you're that big, can hit that hard and possess a chin, could give us some decent viewing

I think he’s moving along well. He spars good fighters and they’ve given good feedback I think, said he’s very durable. Personally I don’t get the hate. He’s an exciting addition to Britain’s young heavyweights.

He looks in decent nick and clearly trains and spars hard and spars the best in the UK as well.

His legs look enormous.

Skill wise he’s limited tho so I feel like a British title is his ceiling but even British title fights are 4 or 5 years away I think.

His contract is up with Matchroom in December so Eddie will be needing to get his wallet out. Fisher seems close to Sam Jones so Probellum will be sniffing in whatever guise they’re in by then and I’m sure Boxxer and co will be having a go too.

I thought the matchmaking last night was good for him in that the guy didn’t fold too quickly and it gave the fans what they wanted to see. I know a couple of people that went as part of his fan base and they loved it and will be all over his next fight so I’d expect the 1,400 to grow.

He’s clearly got a lot to work on but is young, bright and seems a strong, hard bloke. Jay McFarlane could be a decent fight next - never been stopped, winning record and is similar level to Bennett without having taken a really bad beating.

Just watched his post fight interview - he was talking about getting a curry, Chinese and then a couple of racks of ribs after the fight. Scary thing is I believe him so he may need to watch that as he steps up.

Yeah his dad sees a fun type but doesn’t look the healthiest. Prob does a great job of shifting tickets for his son.

what's the hate? people saying he's limited isnt hate if that's what you mean. he defo is i think. on the bright side though, with his age, the training team he has, and promotional support.......there's all the ingredients for him to improve and make the most of whatever potential he does have

i dont think anyone dislikes him

That's a good point. They almost need an 8 man tournament. It would separate the wheat from the chaff.
Plus it would be fun. First round 4 rounders, next 8 rounds,, then for the final and the British title.
Man that would be good, the winner would get a good amount of exposure and fill the gap between the established heavies who are all in their 30's and the young lions

I don't mean hate him personally, I mean people are being a bit hard on him for his boxing ability. He seems to have good basics

It’s certainly a good domestic scene for the next few years, even Euro. Maybe one for he guys gets a big shot somewhere down the line.

Enjoy it! They don’t have to all be Fury level to enjoy it. I enjoyed the Audley, Rogan, Skelton, Sprott, Williams Sat night scraps.

Agree. I'd like to see him using his height and reach a bit more. Not going to learn to box properly wading into mid-range and throwing looping shots all the time.

Well, that's a very good thing to have. If he can learn to box patiently when required, then height + size + chin + power will make him difficult to beat at most levels.
