Most of the similarities I listed are based on physical traits, rather than their pugilistic technique, which are drastically different.
For instance, the 1973 iteration of George Foreman had almost identical physical traits to the prime heavyweight version of David Haye (i.e. same height, same weight, similar physique, both big punchers, both had good engines, both had decent chins etc.), but they had completely different fighting styles.

I usually hate standing stoppages but Takam made this one easy, standing there doing nothing, not returning fire, guarding or getting out of the way of the shots for 30 seconds
I agree. Nothing wrong with the stoppage. Takam was throwing nothing back and absorbing shot after shot for a good half a minute. He wasn't making any effort to avoid anything and was getting caught clean by a big man who can cause a lot of physical damage.
Better too early than too late.

@ Bandog : Luis Ortiz would stand less chance against Joyce than almost any other heavyweight I can think of.
It's possible he could knock out Joshua or Whyte if he caught them with his best shot but he isn't going to knock out Joe Joyce.
He would undoubtedly outbox Joe for the first five or six rounds but by then he would be gasping for air and Joe would be relentlessly walking him down.
Joyce TKO 7 maybe earlier.

Joe Joyce is apparently targeting Joseph Parker as his next opponent.
