What kind of question is that post-fight? at 14:44 of the video.
Seriously, you have to be an absolute cretin to say something as crass as that after a fight.
I can only presume Davies is making reference to something Fury said in the build-up? Surely he wouldn’t just ask something like that completely out of the blue? It’s a stupid question anyway, obviously.
they were discussing it on gareths channel 3 days before the fight

Davies clearly does’t understand depression, the boneheaded clown ..

That's what I assumed. It had to be..
Another question Gareth asked was could he have his face on Tyson's stool for Fury's next fight. Unfortunately he was too late with his request because Steve Bunce had already bagsied it.

Then would it not be more appropriate to ask that question in an interview on his own channel?
Instead he pipes up with that idiotic question in a post-fight press conference the entire world is going to see. He's thick as pig-shit if he thinks that's appropriate.

He's not thick just a bellend, so probably just realises it relates to something he discussed with Tyson, so it will get interest and get his video more views..... as well as trying to be matey with Fury...... but ultimately he it just comes across as inappropriate and slightly offensive. Can't stand the twat.

Or at least provide some context for the 99% of us who don't watch his channel. Without that it just comes across as a proper twat question.

perhaps I am a bit over-sensitive but if I'm speaking to someone who has suffered with depression and suicidal thoughts, my first thought would not be to ask 'so are you going to return to wanting to kill yourself again?'

like i knew a woman who had been jilted at the aisle once. when she told me she was getting married again a couple of years later (different fella!), my second question to her wasn't 'do you think you'll be left high and dry jilted on the altar on your own again?'

Great analogy. Fvck the self impressed twat. Loved it when grumpy Bob put him in his place

knowing how paul smith interacts on social media, i really doubt he was some poor little guy being abused by a bunch of meanies, im sure he reaped what he sowed, the dude is just impossible
I was recently having a discussion with Paul Smith on twitter. He was saying something about how sports people literally don't care about what fans think or say about them.
I replied saying he sounded bitter and that most sports people do in fact care and that there are plenty of examples of this.
He then sent me a direct message calling me a piece of shit, before blocking me.
But he definitely doesn't care.
Smigga showed his lack of class again last night, screaming at Fowler when he was down, horrible twat he is,he soon cried off on here when he couldn't get his own way
I noticed that. It was horrible.

Not defending Smith - I've only seen the youtube clips of it - but was he screaming at Fowler or just screaming encouragement for Liam. I thought it was a latter on the clip I saw.

tyson was basically saying he slipped into a dark place for ten days after the 2nd fight. how its a very real possibility.
also touched on how he feels he has nothing to prove and could retire happy right now.

Thanks. Makes a bit more sense now.

Not watched it back, but during the broadcast he appeared to be shouting at Fowler to stay down

The fact that he was looking (actually, glaring) at canvas level (rather than to an upright persons level) strongly suggest he was addressing Fowler
Well, that, plus the ugly leer of hostility on his face, and the fact that he seemed to be yelling ‘stay down! Stay down!’ It’s easier to lip read when someone is hurling pure bile as they’re kind enough to enunciate the words clearly enough for their targets to hear

Davies is a friend of the stars, they get him
I have heard him on the radio say that he considers Fury a friend and hopes that Fury sees him as a friend. It was a beautiful moment.

Gareth brought out a prog soft rock album in 1982, he sings and plays all the instruments, and the album is much sought after for its cover, which has a smouldering Gareth on a Harley Davidson with a python over his shoulder.

Please tell me he was topless too?!
Of course, luxurious chest hair and tight 501’s with a tube sock down the front.

He’s got a bit of the Brian Badonde about him.
Had his top off ringside for Talksport last night.

Loves himself doesn’t he? Look at his own website:
Claims he’s “the most read Sports writer in Europe” (not the world…… yet)
Anyway I had to laugh at Bob Arum rinsing him recently:
He looks about 60 but seems active in boxing only recently….. what was he doing before?
He recently mentioned on the radio that he was the Telegraph polo correspondent for ten years. As recently as 2017 as far as I can see although it seems he makes no mention of it on his website. There are polo articles by him that go back to at least 2002.

He knows more about Polo than he does boxing. He jumped on the MMA/Boxing bandwagon and arselicked his way forward.
Can not stand the bloke, he's one of the most spineless journalists out there and a big part of everything that is wrong with Boxing media.
