From the outside, it appears that he is pandering to the hangers-on. It makes him look like another yes-man.

I reckon McCracken should take a picture a day with a new Heavyweight and post it on social media, with ‘Don’t Cha’ by the Pussycat Dolls playing as the soundtrack.
That would show him.

I feel for McCracken, he probably never wanted Clayton and Fernandez on board - both unproven trainers. He also probably didn’t like the fact that neither have boxed pro and both had limited amateur careers. Sure I heard that back in the day he got rid of some GB coaching staff because they hadn’t boxed before. Always thought it was messy having 3 voices in the corner.
Seems like of the 3 AJ has kept Fernandez on board. Why? Probably because Joshua is drawn in by the pad work, and the stylised approach Angel brings. It seems like style over substance.
AJ needs a clean break, not another set up with Fernandez tagging along. He needs to trim down his huge entourage - all on the payroll for the free trips and AJ training camp t shirts. He needs a smaller circle and importantly a new trainer who can bring out the beast in Joshua.
The problem is that this takes time and you don’t want to be going straight into the rematch not having trialled any of this in at least one fight beforehand. It has all the makings of a mighty fornicate up.

As I said before, I don’t think he needs a new trainer.
He needs to listen to the one good one he already has.

I doubt McCracken had that authority within the GB training camp when he joined; those places are rank cronyism.
Joshua knows he hasn't got a reliable chin. Reverting back to his 'beast mode' he knows would be a 50/50 chance of getting the KO or being KO'd ... Despite the 'going out on my shield' line, no boxer wants to be seen counted out on the canvass.
Usyk has stability in his camp. He has confidence and a winning gameplan. All the pressure is on Joshua.
Yep .. Usyk will be doing his psycho smile dressed up in his Joker costume no doubt

If a very rich man presided over a shambolic set up, but kept his mouth shut so he could earn more money, I wouldn't expect people to feel sorry for him.

RE Joshua.......For many people, they feel that if Joshua makes adjustments and imposes his physical advantages then victory is his, but meanwhile, Usyk also has time to gain more strength and has the ability to KO Joshua as AJ jumps on him.
Joshua can adjust all he likes, he will always be up against a superior boxer, who can also adjust and who can shatter AJs brittle chin as he exposes himself.......

Agreed, its only due to the size factor that folk seem to think AJ can do better. He can’t, Usyk is a better fighter than him that’s why he won and will win again. AJ wouldn’t have lasted the distance if he tried to jump all over Usyk.

I do think he should have walked.
Letting his fighter surround himself with hangers on makes his fighter vulnerable. I can't imagine other top UK trainers would stand for it.

You never know what happens behind closed doors, but there are ways of doing things, and this is proper rude and disrespectful.
Changing trainers happens, perhaps McCracken has already been told, but doing an instrgram tour of gyms and trainers ain't right before announcements are made.
