Williams is pretty limited ultimately. Eubank seems to enjoy the personal fights and I see him stopping Williams before rd 10

IFL and the likes should stop asking other promoters about their views on other fights. Eddie was completely (as clearly noted) shit stirring about this being on PPV - but why were IFL and the like trying to ask his views on the matter. Eddie should apologise to Sky / Boxxer for getting it wrong - will he, will he heck - he'll just say "well its good for the fans innit".

I understand both Sky and DAZN will want to be on a Saturday but it makes no sense Probellum doing the same and getting lost in the shuffle. Why not just move it to the Friday? Isn't it Sky vs DAZN the 1th December and Probellum vs DAZN the 18th?
But totally agree that Probellum card should be Friday. I'd much prefer more non Saturday shows particularly Friday. It really makes sense to stop clashes and for smaller shows.
Probellum have their Dubai show on the 11th with the 2 British world title fights.

It’s best to look as guys like IFL as a PR firm rather than jurnos. Sure they create an amount of content that is greater than we’ve ever had access to before, but they’re completely reliant on the promotors and fighters giving them access, once that’s pulled for not towing the line their business is pretty much fecked.
The only difficult questions they’ll ask are to curry favour with the promotors and boxers who their business they rely on

Equal pay doesn’t mean much in boxing as male boxers of equal position don’t get paid the same.
Who should Claressa be paid the same as? Canelo?
Fighters, particularly world champs, regardless of their sex are paid based on their commercial value to attract an audience and promote a show. Unfortunately Claressa found out her commercial value when she did that women’s only PPv that only achieved a reported 10,000 buys.
That’s the main reason she tried MMA - you win a PFL tournament and it’s $1m. Then potential ppv upside in the UFC.
I’m worried Sky are bankrolling her to $1m. Only that works is PPV or poor quality of opponents. I’d like to see her fight Savannah but that’s the only fight I’m interested in for her and not so much that I’d pay £20 for the privilege.

When it was originally mooted most of us on here thought it’d be on PpV. I even created a thread about it! That’s when it was talked about as Eubank in a big fight, Hughie Fury, Kal Yafai, Claressa Shields and Savannah Marshall. My thinking was they could only afford that on PPV. It looks like they’ve reduced the ‘names’ off the show to make it affordable to Sky Sports standard.
Do I need to offer an apology too?!

No - you aren't a public figure involved in boxing and if we are honest - you aren't someone if some "inside" pull with regards to TV and has had a close working relationship with Eubank's current promoter. And whilst I don't know the timings - I don't think IFL asked Eddie "The boxrec forum think its going to be on PPV, do you think it will?" to which Eddie replied "yes they are spot on". Eddie's interviews about Williams vs Eubank was way before it was formally announced and even at the "its being mooted" stage. And despite interviews with Adam Smith BEFORE in which he said "there will be no PPVs in 2021" and interviews with Adam Smith after saying "I hope it won't be on PPV" - Eddie still didn't say "Looks like I am wrong". Even now he is not saying he was wrong.
You are a fan and not involved with any promotional company and therefore not a rival. As a paying punter who are perfectly within your rights to voice an opinion - but, without being disrespectful, it was an educated guess and not an "in the know" perspective. What Eddie did would be like Coca Cola saying a new ingredient in the upcoming Pepsi contains Palm Oil - and then finding out it doesn't. Would Coca Cola apologise, even if they thought it was a last minute change because of the publicity generate - hell yes they would. Particularly if there is a chance they will work together as Eddie is likely to still be doing (if the IFL interview with Smith is likely to be accurate) with AJ.

Woke Sky are a trainwreck. It's one thing push women's boxing hard, but to give Claressa Shields over a million quid in deal, when she can't draw shit and nobody cares about her, is literally madness.
They're going to fornicate all this up and piss the budget away. I mean the Prizefighter winner got 40 grand for 3 fights last week, and they're going to pay Shields, an American female fighter, over 1 million quid??
Where is the logic? They seem to forgot the fundamentals of business, DEMAND. There isn't any demand for women's boxing much less PPV that's why she's over here because it flopped in the US

He’s in a list of about 15 fighters who are fighting on other TV channels but there’s been no mention of moving on from Frank.
He must be a free agent now.

Yes, we would be moaning it would be a shit PPV and even reammending lists of the worst PPV in history - but 100% it would be a PPV and Eddie would say it would need to be to be financially viable.
Certainly comparable to Cleverly vs Bellew and some of the early Dillion White headline PPVs in terms of size.

The best we have seen of Eubank is a good few years ago - and his preparation for this will have been terrible.
Whereas Liam has had two recent good fights that will have prepared him perfectly for Eubank.

There`s also the Nick Blackwell angle with this fight isn`t there.
Nick and Liam were very close as they trained together under Gary Lockett at the time of Nick`s fight with Eubank and subsequent injuries,and I`d be very surprised if this didn`t get mentioned in the build-up to this fight.
I bet Frank’s delighted that he went December 4th.
