This is one of the best fights to ever happen in Australia, yet it will go relitively unwatched i predict.

-For the Australian audience it directly clashes with, Australia vs england rugby union, An NRL game and 2 AFL games. That gives a lot of alternates to the PPV here, and gives pubs plenty of sport to fill there TV screens without buying this.

-For USA its Earrrly morning.

-For England its lunch time, but as stated above it clashes with Australia vs England rugby union.

i guess the latvians will get on lunchtime beers and watch though....

is it? i had read they want main event to walk about 9pm, thats only about 11 NZ time i think? (now they are always later than they say but not wildly)

Unless they have decided to shift it back to be after the rugby.

cbs (and big rick) seems like he wants to fight every single cruiser in the uk before going to a world title shot. i saw absolutely f@ck all talk about him fighting briedis, and jai getting tthe shot suggests he might have turned it down

gotta get in chamberlain, that inevitable riakporhe rematch, and tommy mac 3rd fight first. also needs to fight jack flatley and maybe deon jumah too. then he might begin to think about the big bois internationally

chamberlain entering the fray means that riakporhe has to now fight him soon too
Surrrrrley he didnt turn down a title shot vs an aging briedis for chamberlain... chamberlain might just chin him,... at least if you get chinned by briedis you can say "well world champ, I skipped some levles and ill be back"..

anyway glad jais got it. Hope he wins, then fights makabu in aus and frenchy in aus... getting okolie here might be tough....

But if he loses he should go to heavyweight and get into the domestic scene, he would bash dempsy mckean,Terzievski, goodal, opalu. all be fun fights and lets face it, australia, like the rest of the world will only really notcie you once your 201+lb....

i dunno, cbs seems pretty set on fighting domestic guys, and maybe sky in their attempt to lure fighters over offered much bigger money than he;d normally get for facing chamberlain. chambo's talented but cbs will be fave for that

despite being ranked with world title bodies i've seen very little talk from cbs's side about challenging the big dudes. the talk for him has been more about rematching riakporhe, who himself seems fixated on beating domestic guys. even the last international guy he beat was just a tommy mac leftover from 3-4 years ago

the uk domestic scene is very competitive and good in a way, but in another way it's frustrating me because i see a guy like riakporhe who has won there repeatedly for years, and instead of stepping up he just continues to face the same ol' type of opponents. how many more guys does he need to beat at that level before giving it a go? odds on he'll fight chambo at some point too

give me big rick or cbs challenging makabu. bring over goulimiran. get one of them in there with an ambitious challenge vs the much older briedis, etc.

losing at world level isnt much of a blow to domestic fights

and id say that right now is actually a very good time to be a cruiser contender, as makabu and goulimiran aren't particularly impressive, and briedis is getting up there

snatch up a title........and you can turn these domestic fightss into world title events

After the games I've heard he is moving to the UK, not sure who has signed him- if anyone - but he is a decent prospect who needs to be moved fast, which is why tonight was a bit disappointing opponent wise.
