i do think the other heavies need to start fighting each other a bit more. Helenius gave a good example and the opportunity vs Kownacki brought out two world class offensive performances from him.

If Whyte truly is out, I want to see him in something fairly dangerous, for example. Something on the level of Parker or Rivas, his two best wins.

I'd like to see Ruiz prove the Joshua win was no fluke before we fights Fury. Let's see him against a Rivas or a Michael Hunter.

If Fury fights Ruiz, he gotta come out with the weight of his 3rd Wilder fight. Let there be the first ever boxing championship bout between the two fat men.

Decent win? It was a bit better than that! Fluke? He threw the punch, intended it to land and it did. It's a bit like you going to the shop for a loaf of bread. It's not a fluke you got in the car drove there and bought it!

As did Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall but it still doesnt stop many from thinking that Lewis beats them nine times out of 10.

Joshua won the open two rounds and then had Ruiz down and hurt, which ended up being the worse thing to happen to AJ

I agree, the loss to Parker was legit & he won’t show the potential demonstrated vs Joshua 1.

If he fights Fury at 235-pounds, then I’d probably be interested.

Wish the contenders would fight each other, definitely. Keeps viewers interested & shows who’s legit.

But it wasn't really potential. He stopped the undefeated heavyweight champion of the world! Made him quit. A bit better than potential.

He might do, but he'll be starting a lot lower than he thought he was. Tyson is a big name worldwide now, Whyte is lucky to get 20%.

I think Ruiz can win by KO if he’s able to exploit some defensive deficiency. But not in the shape to grind out a win on points, vs an equal. Not unless he can buildup his fitness.

We both know that's not how purse values work. If George R R Martin gets in the ring I doubt they'll take into account his book sales.

I try not to discuss earnings, purses etc I find it boring but I understand some people find it interesting and tbf to be a modern Boxing fan you can argue that you need to get educated on it just to get a handle on boxing these days seeing as most jousting is done on social media and in discussion, you don't get this sh1t with the Cruiserweights or the little guys

It was also his base purse. He would have got more from PPVs. Even still Fury would have earned more than 5 times Whyte in the last 3 fights.

He did get knocked out two fights ago.

Among the biggest problem with Fury facing Helenius, and I think it is an ok fight, is probably not just the match itself but the fact Fury will probably only box once more in 2022...if we're lucky. That's the real problem IMO.

Fans will react somewhat irrationally when it's not Joshua, Usyk or Whyte in the other corner because time is running out.

If we knew we'd be getting 3 decent fights in 2022 out of Fury, you could give Fury a clear pass under the circumstances.
