Agree with Frampton. 116-113 and 116-112 a touch too close for me.
I had Bourke winning the 5th and marginally winning the 6th and 9th.
Could’ve easily been 119-109 or 118-110 over just 3 or 4 rounds the judges had it.

scoring okay this time, first 5 were mostly nip and tuck despite the premature leach jizzing, and bourke had a mini rally later on where he couldve taken a round or two. no real problem for me, leach definitely won and you could have it wider as well but the cards were pretty much justifiable

How far can leach go ?

He should get a Lonsdale outright, but hard to keep winning decisions away from home with that style..

bourke landed his best punch of the fight (and the best punch of the first half) in one of the early rounds, and it was pretty even overall for connects i thought. leach defo more accurate but he didn't really start letting his hands go until after the 5th. that's when bourke began to bust up

anyway, right man won and your score is the same as one judge and only 1 point off mine and another judge. although the way some dudes describe the fight i don't know why they didnt score it 120-108

First 6 rounds not the easiest to score, I’ll give you that. I had ML winning the first 4 then CB winning the next 2 so it was 4-2 for me at the break.
I think ML won it by more that 3 and 4 points but that’s just me. Glad it was a little closer as I would’ve hated to Moore and Travis get bent over again.
Btw I do like the guy forcing the fight and usually give close rounds to them but I just feel ML landed a bit too often with high accuracy to edged towards him a lot.

8-4 vs 9-3

the difference between those cards could be as minor as disagreeing over one round. we have lots of 9-3 cards, so i dont think 8-4 is too bad. 116-113 is closer but still the right winner by several points at least. i think the judging was okay this time

Thing is… I had 3 close rounds and give CB 2 of them… so therefore 117-111 is being generous to him. Could easily have been 119-109.

Another impressive display from Leach ..completely schooled Bourke who hardly landed all night despite continuously going forward showing incredible guts and bravery.

Leach is yet another one of Steve Woods VIP stable - he’s constantly producing , supporting and giving opportunity to young talent - his efforts in the sport really should be applauded and appreciated.

I do hope Leach , now British Champion gets the appropriate backing and opportunities his talent deserves .

Hardly know either, but i know i backed bourke based on a quick boxrec glance. And the majority of people in the fight pick thread picked bourke also. So its impressive that leach got it done wide, arguably could of won every round.

Still going to be hard for leach to get a big backing... bantum weight, no power, loss on his record, and a southpaw so less opponents want it.... think if he is going to go further than brittish he will really have to earn it, not like he will just stumble into big fights.

Gutted with that. Credit to leache but that is one pig of a style. Could bourke have had more variety ? I don’t know , maybe leache just too tricky.

Just caught up on the undercard. That’s as bad as it gets. Did any of those opponents come to win?

Who next for Leach? I’d like to see the Bateson fight and would make Leach a fair favourite. Or Yafai but don’t know what he’s doing since the Cunningham disaster.

Kal hasn't fought since Covid. Feb 2022, before the first initial lockdown.

When I was looking through Leach's record last week I noticed his sole loss was his pro debut to Bobby Jenkinson who obviously went on to become Commonwealth champ before losing it to Gamal, Jenkinson was 4-1-1 at the time, that seemed like a lifetime ago, crazy to think that's Leach just getting his first title shot now

Leach should be going for Cunningham I think.

leach was a very good back foot fighter so hard to hit,counter well aswell fair play he was sharp, i think bourke followed him a round to much while trying to load up and that type of fighter is no no, iam sure will come back and have some good tare ups,impressed but leach interesting how far he can go

I don’t know why bourke didn’t try standing off for a round.
He can definitely box. Just didn’t show it.

Surprised Leach isn't getting picked up by one of the bigger promoters. He's a good fighter, deserves more than he's getting out of it atm.

I think he will be. Not sure if he sells many tickets but FW has fights in his weight division that could be pushed. Jason Cunningham, Brad Foster would both be good fights.
