Regarding 3, I thought that was odd and having heard it a few times I think we missed Usyk off camera saying that AJ is a strong fighter and AJ was complaining that he doesn't want to be strong, he wants to be skilled because Usyk isn't strong but he won because he is skilled. It just makes more sense to me in that way.
No, you are right... Usyk told him that he was a strong guy (as a compliment, clearly) and AJ said that "
it's not about strength. Skills win boxing matches. I've got skills and you are not strong. How did you beat me?"
Any decent boxing trainer could tell him how. Usyk is fitter, lighter, more mobile, has better punching accuracy, better footwork and is a better counter-puncher... That's just how I see it...
AJ does probably have the edge in strength and explosive punching power - but on this occasion it was not enough...

Certainly if that's the way that boxing has him mentally and emotionally, he might be better off just walking away. He's achieved a hell of a lot over the past decade and he'll never be skint... But undoubtedly the man is struggling to handle the situations that are arising from the sport...
We maybe should have seen this coming, with him confronting university students a good while back... This guy could be a ticking time bomb ready to go off....

Thing is I thought that was one of AJ'S best performances despite losing, Usyk just has his number, he's his Vernon Forrest. He should have given Usyk a pat on the back and jogged off. Plenty of big fights left for him, just let Usyk have his moment.

Joshua made himself look a right knob, he should've just took it like a man which I thought he would've, he put in a gallant effort against the better man, a man who's been through a lot more than spending a week on remand in Reading prison for weed, Usyk should've gave him a slap and tell him to get back in his box
Would still love to see Usyk or Joshua for that matter take that attention seeking lying shitbag Fury to task though but who knows if that fight will happen

Weirdly enough… that wasn’t the most embarrassing moment of the night.
Spencer Oliver saved AJ with his impassioned speech to him about how he outboxed the best fighter on the planet.
That or García telling AJ he’s 4 up after 4.

Joshua is a mental train wreck. I've never seen someone struggle so much with who they are, who they are supposed to be. He doesn't know himself what he wants to be; a role model, a humble brand ambassador, a drug-lord convicted gangster from Watford. It's difficult to watch it all unfold.

Joshua on the mic was the most embarrassing thing I have ever seen in a boxing ring and I've been watching it since the 70s. His team let him down allowing him to make a fool of himself like that. I suspect he's got issues and I hope he gets better soon. He boxed well last night, did way better than I expected.

I'm not a fan of AJ but imagine being him in the build up to this fight,everyone is saying he should retire if he gets beat,the pressure would be huge and I think he felt some people thinking he should retire just got to him in that moment where as if he stops and thinks about it,he can still sell out arenas and stadiums across the UK and in the middle East,he is the 3rd maybe 4th best heavyweight in the world still and will get his chance for a belt with 2 or 3 wins. He should channel out of all the negative media around him or get a shrink to help him deal with negative comments from the experts. All in all no one should of let him get the mic and I don't know why he feels he should get the mic after every fight and blurt verbal diarrhoea into everyone ears.

Good post. He damaged his stock with that rant. Fury's mental issues help him promote, Joshua's just made him look very, very silly. His constant "I'm a businessman, I'm a hustler" stuff is a signal to me too. His self-esteem seems low, like he isn't happy with being what he is i.e. a big, strong, handsome muscular man with a winning smile and a big enough dig and fighting heart to be the fourth or fifth best heavyweight in the world but probably the richest", If he was ugly or pudgy he'd not be claiming to be a businessman or hustler, he's got rich because of his image; deep down that hurts him and last night it came out, he felt like style over substance. Ironically, he actually boxed as well last night as I've ever seen him.
