Chisora always seems available for that sorta thing.

Unfortunately Delboy is AJs close friend.

Dillian Whyte would fight anyone, but we don't want to see him become a journeyman, do we? Whyte needs to tighten up his defences before anything else.

However I think Anthony Joshua easily beats anyone outside Usyk right now.

Is it really that difficult to see just how much Anthony Joshua has improved?

Wasn't the pace of the return fight with Usyk over the whole 12 rounds impressive enough?

With the extra conditioning even his one precious slight weakness (punch resistance) wasn't too much of an issue
Whyte became a Journeyman like 10 years ago. He's always been a journeyman.

whyte's headlined multiple ppvs as a-side, making millions per fight. only been an underdog vs fury and josh. if he's a journeyman pretty much everyone is

I agree with what you’re saying.

This might be another publicity stunt.

The handlers of Fury and AJ need to talk.

If the offer is sincere though, which I think it might be, then another loss for AJ will essentially mark the end of his tenure being considered a marquee name in the sport of boxing.

And it might be better for Matchroom and DAZN to try to rebuild the Joshua brand over the course of four or five easy(ish) wins than accept a fourth defeat in six fights.

Matchroom and DAZN have a lot of money invested in AJ and the ink has only just dried on their newly-signed contract, which means it’s probably far too early for both parties to cash in their most prized asset.
There is a very lucrative market for heavyweight boxers in the UK to make many millions without a recent winning record, or a belt, just ask Del Boy or Whyte
Yes, but Joshua’s purses are in the region of being ten to fifteen times the sums commanded by Whyte and Chisora.

I genuinely believe that Matchroom and DAZN might consider prioritising their own long-term financial needs above Joshua’s desire to face Fury.

If Joshua was nearing the end of his contract with Matchroom and DAZN, I have no doubt Eddie Hearn would be compelled to immediately agree terms with Fury.

But the thing is, Joshua has only just signed a contract renewal with Matchroom and AJ’s deal with DAZN has only just begun.

And the Saudi’s sold the television rights of Joshua-Usyk II to Sky, which means DAZN hasn’t even had the opportunity to cover one of his fights yet, let alone allow AJ to make the jump to ESPN/BT Sports for his next bout to face Tyson Fury.
Hmmm.. I get what your saying Lightie.
DAZN is a strange one right now. I don't know what the future of their boxing division is. They gave Eddie a truck load of money, and in my view at least, two years later they don't have a lot to show for it.
If anything, Matchroom's stable and title holders is less than it was pre DAZN.

For some reason I was getting Whyte mixed up with Chisora.

Joshua must take Fury's offer. He'll never become a champ, if the belts remain with Fury or Usyk, but he'll never price himself out like he can do it now against Fury.

I suspect if and when the undisputed heavyweight title match and subsequent rematch occurs, that both Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk will most likely retire, and it will be in that moment Joshua will become champion again--- but for how long is anyone's guess.

Think a big shadow will always loom over his career that he wasn't the best guy of his era, and whatever success he has in the future will only be because the two best heavyweights around decided to leave the division for good.

I think Joshua would be an interesting tune-up for Fury since it is Usyk's team saying that they can't fight in November or December. I can't see Joshua outboxing Fury and I can't see him out fighting Fury either, the chinks in the armor are just too present. The only chance he would have is if Tyson Fury completely half-assed training camp and took Joshua lightly.

I don't think Fury would only because Fury has always wanted to demonstrate he could easily dominate Joshua so he will bring his A plus game, while Joshua is mentally or emotionally not all there. If I was Eddie Hearn I would be pushing for Deontay Wilder instead, but even that fight I'm not so sure Joshua could win because you practically have to kill Wilder to make him stop being dangerous throughout a contest.

I'm glad you have said that, because the one thing Dillian Whyte is not, is a journeyman.
