Round four, Paul's jab has been practically non-existent throughout the contest... Silva's a tad bit slower than he was in the previous three rounds... And on to round five.

Round five, Silva forcing the action and Paul trying to clinch. Silva not allowing Paul to clinch. And on to round six.

Round six... Silva's bleeding from the nose and now the eye... On to round seven.

Round seven, rather uneventful round. Onward to the final round. A lot of people are scoring it 3-3 or 4-2 at the beginning of round seven. I suspect if Anderson Silva is to win he needs to at least score a knockdown.

Round eight... Silva is dropped... and due to that, Jake Paul will have officially got his victory over the legendary Anderson Silva. Whether we like it or not Jake Paul can officially claim to have a win over a professional boxer considering that is what Anderson Silva was before becoming a legend in MMA.

I had Paul winning 5-3, plus that knockdown.
Honestly it was a fun and great fight, for what it was.
Paul would bury the actual boxers he should be fighting at this point of his career, if his name wasn't Jake Paul.
He brings attention to the sport and wants to help fighters get better pay and long term health care.
Guy is ok in my book.

Well. If he beat Anderson Silva it stands to reason he could beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.
Granted Chavez Jr. isn't active, but that would probably put Paul capable of competing with guys in the lower end of the Top 100 of his weight class.
I don't really look for him to have a long career in Boxing. I don't think that's his goal. I think he will shoot for a handful of increasingly big Superfights, and try to make each one mega cash grabs.
I can almost guarantee he'll fight Canelo at some point. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. That's probably the biggest fight in Boxing in terms of money.
Hardcore fans would sh*t on it. Just like they sh*t on Mayweather vs MacGregor, and just like Mayweather vs MacGregor. It would be Box Office Gold.

Right now at CW, I honestly think he can beat a lot of those guys on the second page.
What kills me about Paul, he's 25 and has been in the sport what, 4 years? h/e would be facing 4-12 guys by today's boxing pacing. The likes of Anderson S and Woodley are better fighters than what somebody in his shoes would honestly be facing at this point of their career.

im curious to see him fight an active career boxer (preferably not someone close to 50), the rahman fight was intriguing. a relatively youung, bigger guy with 100 amateur fights
would jake paul beat a second pager like tervel pulev?

The tricky thing about Paul is he isn’t a cruiser and probably would be fucked making 175.
Paul’s doing a lot of advocating for MMA. What he needs to advocate for is a 185lb division in boxing and jake Paul demonstrators that perfectly. . It’s the crazies gap in division.

Don’t think he is a 2nd pager. Defiantly not at cruiserweight.
Could probably beat a few 4th page 175s at a 185 catcgweight.
Mabey beat a few 5th or 6th page cruisers, but not al of them. He would be at a considerable size disadvantage.
But he is improving with time and resources. Honestly he is a similar level to Johnny fisher right now (but lower)… and both have heaps of opportunity ahead. Fisher is younger with less distractions so will probably go further but both could probably get to around British level if they reallllly commit.

176-185 Should be Jr Cruiserweight division.
186-200 Should be the Regular standard Cruiserweight division.
201-225 Should be Jr Heavyweight, or bridger-weight.
226-255 Should be Regular standard HW.
Over 255 Should be Super HW.

After watching the highlights of this bout, I can definitely say that Jake Paul proved Quite a bit that we didn't get to see in his previous bouts. A Boxing bout versus Nate Diaz would be interesting, but I think that Jake could and should choose a More Suitable opponent, competition-wise. Diaz would give him a few good rounds but I see Jake catching him Good and scoring a Tko or Ko, by round 4 or 5. It'd be a decent tuneup bout though. Ultimately, Jake Needs to drop down to 175, in order to get The biggest and most winnable bouts. He Could keep doing this Catchweight stuff but I doubt that they will make a "Jr CW" (176-185)division anytime soon unfortunately.

As much as I think boxing already has too many belts and "champions", I do think they could use a division after 175. Make it 176 to 185 and call it whatever, but I knew a few guys in the gym who were in-betweeners. Too small for CW, but would struggle to make light heavy.
As for Paul, I don't think he belongs on the second page. He obviously hasn't fought enough quality people to be there. The types of guys he should be fighting though for a guy with no AM's experience and 6 fights, Anderson and Woodley, to me, are better than those types of fighters you'd see that boxer taking on, for the most part.
For a few guys I think Paul could beat or have a shot at on the second page, Paul is the money guy here. I'm assuming that those guys can go to 185 and do so safely. Start at #100 and go up even just a few names. I think Paul would have a legitimate shot with a few of those guys. Who's the highest person I think Paul could beat, right now, I'd say Okolie....
Seriously though, I'd say he'd have a legit shot at Sfer Seferi, who I think is just terrible. Could he realistically make 185, probably not, but this is all just if he hypothetically could safely. I think he'd have an honest punchers chance against #65 Shojgreen, who could easily catch Paul, but he doesn't have a solid chin though. Starting at #75 with Lacrosse and going down to #100 Pinchuk, for people with an unbiased opinion about Paul, you can't tell me there isn't a handful of guys you wouldn't think Paul has a shot to beat. Again, he's the money man, so this is assuming those guys could make, say 185-190 safely.
