He was on the back foot, just off the ropes, didn't plant his feet and grazed Helenius with a right hand arm punch and its over.
Weird is one way of putting it.

I think Helenius did most of the work by coming forward so fast
I was hoping for a more agressive Helenius but I guess we see why he didn't really commit to that.

I can only guess it was 90% Helenius' own weight ramming his face into it. Wilder looked tentative even though Helenius was wide open, inviting it from the off.
