Same here.
Could be a pretty decent, evenly matched fight, even if both men have flattered to deceive at times.
I am surprised it hasn't been promoted better and why havent any TV companies picked it up?
Probellum links?

Exactly that. No-one going to touch them when the upside is so small.

Pleasantly surprised to see Ward at 3/1 to win this. At his best he’s a pure boxer and a real handful. People may mock but I give Tommy (and Mick Conlan) a much better chance of beating Lara than Warrington and Wood based on styles.

It's a decent main event and a reasonable card.
Hope I can find a way to watch it.
I like Ritson, sure he has limitations, but by golly he gives it everything, and that's enough for me.

those odds surprised me too, considering the fight is in uk and otabek is pretty much unknown/unhyped and doesnt have a lot of pro experience,i expected tommy to be fave

that said, otabek really impressed me from what i saw of him - very long, quick and nimble, had a really good engine over 12 as well and being moved like his team is 100 percent confident in him. also has that deep kazakh amateur background, and i wont be surprised if he's just too much

tommy has one of the most meaningless records of guys who've been unbeaten in 34, so good to see this type of fight for him finally, even if he should've been in it years ago

Cheers. Assuming it is on there I wonder if they’ll try and charge for it or whether it’ll be free like some of Probellum’s shows were.

I’d imagine if they were going for free then it would have been better (for viewer numbers)/easier to have it on YouTube.

For this calibre?
I mean it's probably going to entertain, but cripes it's sub-British title for goodness sake!
As far as I can tell its just a fight, no titles, and definitely no unbeaten records on the line

Lee McGregor makes long-awaited return to the ring with close friend Scott Taylor-MacKenzie very much in his thoughts

The 26-year-old was devastated to learn his friend from childhood, also 26, had undergone a lifesaving ten-hour operation and placed in an induced coma after suffering a choking incident while eating at home.

McGregor visited the Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale skipper in hospital prior to travelling down to Newcastle ahead of tomorrow night's duel with Burkino Faso's Alexis Boureima Kabore.

An online fundraiser, set up by McGregor's partner Amber, has raised more than £14,000 with another childhood friend of the duo, former Hibs striker Jason Cummings, among those to donate.

"It was a total freak accident," McGregor told the Evening News. "He's had the operation, was put in intensive care but he's out now and I hope this is the start of his road to recovery. It's going to be a long one so we just want to do everything we can to help him because he's got a young family, he's going to be off work, his missus looks after the wee one on her own. I was devastated to hear what happened to him and I know in normal times he would be down here in Newcastle with me by my side.

"So I'm even more determined to get the win this weekend for him and hopefully he gets better soon and there are better days ahead. I saw him before I came down to Newcastle earlier this week so it was reassuring to see him in person, even though he's pretty ill. We just want to help Scott and his family as much as we can so he doesn't have to worry about how the bills are going to be paid, so there's no pressure on him to get back to work as soon as he can.

"I've grown up with Scott from when we were wee boys, we're all from the same area in Saughton so to see someone that close to you go through something like this, it's been a tough few days that's for sure. But we're all just keeping our fingers crossed that he's over the worst now."
