maverick23 wrote: 03 Dec 2022, 15:21 I’m going to follow the RBR on here and also on BBC assuming they do one. I wonder if the away corner will win a round tonight.

I know we’re 2 hours from the main event but I’ve never seen a stadium show so quiet at 7pm. The local pubs must be rammed.
The talksport coverage is normally very good.
Thanks but I’ve already told my wife we can watch a movie tonight. I told that I’m willing to miss the boxing to watch something with her as I’ve been watching some of the World Cup and a fair bit of sport in the last few weeks. I didn’t mention the price of boxing tonight or that it was a replay of a mismatch i saw live 8 years ago.
We will have an Xmas movie on after the football.

If the other movies are anything to go by.........

A girl called Jennifer or Jessica will return for one day from her high pressure marketing job in the city to her valley where she bumps into her high school carpenter sweetheart in her friends bakery.

A snowstorm will prevent her returning to her job in the city, missing a crucial meeting, so instead she will be instrumental in saving her ex's family carpentry business with her expert marketing skills and with the help of the village.

In the end she decides to stay in the village as love is more important.

Furthermore her ex's brother is gay and his boyfriend is black.

And on top of that it will be more exciting than the main event

yeah - good quality but
Won't call it too good quality. Berinchyk's work is quite basic and there's not much of clean scoring.

Own up if you bought it.
Radio job for me, if people keep paying for shit PPV they will keep putting them on. If Del wins I'll wish I'd bought it though.
You can watch it, or the highlights forever on youtube just like we do with Mike Tyson vs Buster Douglas, but I feel an upset like that is once in a lifetime.

soho as busy as NYE and no door man aware there’s any boxing on, and no pubs showing it. Unsurprising.

I’ll tune in out of curiosity. The levels between heavyweights are not as far apart compared to fighters operating in lighter divisions.

Although winning their first two fights at a canter, the exaggeration that Fury is almost untouchable is almost as extreme that Chisora has regressed so much that he has no chance of winning.

Fury should win this easily, but it wouldn’t be the shock of the century if he comes unstuck. Complacency can be an equaliser, and if he stays in the pocket too long, as he has when floored six times before, one of Chisora’s haymakers may get lucky.

The heavyweight division is so poor. Our adulation of Fury is based on him beating a game but supremely limited Deontay Wilder and a shot Dillian Whyte. He’s also a cheat and not nearly as impenetrable as some think. Poster boy, my arse.

He might run rings around Chisora once more tonight, but Fury’s day of reckoning is coming to the next live fighter he faces.

Well I still say it was good quality, but it WAS tedious.

Mendy too old, Borenchyk amateur style.
Wide UD 118-112 ish and that was spot on.

117-111 Berinchyk, competitive enough but a bit if a snoozer, Mendy never offered much, had a spell in the middle rounds when he looked like he might be boxing his way back into it, landed a couple of right hands but Berinchyk regained control, he's still got that amateur in and out style, doesn't hit hard but switches effectively, he darted in and out and picked Mendy off, didn't land much clean but was too busy for him

The Bert-Yarde staredown was more intense than the Berinchyk fight.

No good rounds for either of them and a few could've gone either way. I had it 120-108 for Berinchyk.

My wife loves the hallmark Christmas movies far more than she should. You know how it’s going to end within the first 90 seconds. You’ve described pretty much all of them. Enjoy!
