He gets announced on the show, then Taylor/Teo gets hyped up and miraculously the WBO orders Taylor/Teo. Bob comes out and says they’re not doing the fight because Catterall’s now fighting someone else so their contract is void and now there’s silence on Catterall fighting in Manchester.

Seems like Boxxer/Ben have dropped a bollock here. Lost the Taylor fight, advertises Catterall fighting but doesn’t deliver and now potentially in a legal battle with Top Rank. And the whole time Catterall remains inactive.

Been with Boxxer for 7 months and yet to fight or even have a fight formally announced. Jack should be undisputed champ but he’s at risk of sitting out more of his peak. 2 fights in over 3 years is really poor for him.

Looks like they are setting the arena up for about 4000. WTF are they doing this in Manchester for.

Because Sky and Boxxer are idiotic enough to think Lawrence Okolie is some huge popular charismatic draw. He didn't re-sign with matchroom because Boxxer and Sky offered to make him 'THE face of Sky boxing.'

You'd have to be a f ucking idiot to think Okolie fills an arena bigger than 5k without a damn good undercard or an opponent who brings the masses.

Harvey Lambert from Hull and Callum Simpson from Barnsley will be amongst the best sellers on this card. Insane choice of venue.

I don’t think Callum sells many tickets yet although they’ve had him on the pitch at Barnsley & he goes to all the home games & is also friends with our centre back Liam Kitching who’s brother Guy Kitching has just turned pro so he’s having a good go at building a fan base up.

However Barnsley up until the other day had a big promotion battle with Ipswich scheduled for the same night so I don’t think there were many Barnsley fans going to watch him.

He claims to have done a lot. My mate gave him his final spar on Friday. Said he’s come on loads, was really impressed.

How Dinu was ever so high in the WBA beggars belief. He’s poor and been stopped easily in his last 2 and gotten this on less than a week’s notice. Will be over quickly, Shalom will say Clarke’s beaten the former wba number 1 or whatever he was and in reality Clarke will learn nothing.

One amateur stoppage loss 8 years ago doesn’t make him chinny and 12 stoppages from 20 pro fights doesn’t say he can’t punch.
I’ve seen a couple of contests, he’s decent but not likely to win this. I wouldn’t be shocked to see him make the full 12.

There were free tickets on Ticketmaster yesterday for this.

A local fight fan can see some very good boxers from a very good position for under £50. Front 10 rows lower tier are the best seats in that arena.

And he has some decent stoppages true, but has not fought at a high level.

You say you wouldn’t be surprised if he lasted the distance… well if I’m offered a price of evens or longer that he gets stopped, I’m jumping on that, that’s how I view it

EDIT - just checked, Okolie by stoppage is 3-1 on, which is what I’d expect

Light claimed the undefeated record of Brandon Glanton, hoping for a similar outcome when he squares off with Okolie.

A stacked undercard precedes the cruiserweight world title fight in Manchester. The English Super Featherweight title will be on the line when Michael Gomez Jr (18-1) and Levi Giles (13-0) lock horns in a ten round duel. Heavyweight Frazer Clarke (5-0) will go to battle with Romanian, Bogdan Dinu (20-4) in an eight round contest, Callum Simpson (10-0) faces Celso Neves (9-3-2) and highly regarded Irish middleweight Aaron McKenna (15-0) takes on Lukas Ndafoluma (22-6) over eight rounds.
