But look at the money, 300K for his title defense headliner and he is the A side?
Smith wouldn't even show up at a press conference for that sort of money.
People are going to say Janibek is the boogieman- and I heard the comms trying that on leading up to the fight- but he isn't avoided because he is some sort of boogieman, he just isn't worth the top guys time to fight him.
Indeed, he's pretty much like Andrade but less dangerous imo.
Adames said that he's ready to fight him and imo Janibek should've tried to push for this fight as Adames is a top mw contender who also holds that regular wbc belt that could open the way to fight for the full mw wbc title like GGG did back in the days.

Agree. Butler was out of it after the first knockdown. To let it go after the second was nuts.
That was ridicules. The safety of the fighter comes first. He was done after the first KD.

Indeed the purses are low, - all expenses - taxes and you have almost nothing. I wonder if they have some bonuses/sponsorship money or some other type of remunerations that are not taxed?
It was written in a Mtl paper today that Butler made 200K for the fight. Much more than the 75K announced .

He looks good and an eye catching stoppage is always in his favor, but you don't learn much.
Couple more bouts, stretch him out a bit and give him some more rounds.
It'll help in the big fights down the road should he get there.

For sure. I want to see more of him, but without a fan base of significant size, he simply won't put enough bums on seats to generate the money for Simthat least.
And its not from lack of excitement in his fights, he is a beast.
